The wizard of Oz is called so as the writer was struggling to come up with a name, and there was a file thing infront of him - there was letters A-N and letters O-Z, and he chose one.

No,it's OK. In Romanian it's almost same.

The "I guess" was to emphasize that I'm not very sure about that answer.

We also translate "I guess" with "I think"

The word Oz comes from the term "Aussie" but in the states they spell it as Ozzie so I think Oz is short for Ozzie
