Absolute class!

I love what you've done with Origi and Ajax (but mainly Ajax though :P)

Thanks. Ajax is one of my favourite teams to manage in FMH- a good mix of rich enough to attract decent players and being in a fairly easy league. I find it quite fun and relaxing compared to the EPL :)

Nice result. A previous version had a DLM in place of the BWM, but I haven't tried a DLM in combination with an APM. Might give it a go.

I've been very lazy with this - I finished the next season ages ago. I'll try to get an update posted tonight.

Season 21

divock+origi.jpg

He's increasingly ancient, his stats are falling, but he keeps on scoring. The Originator can't be stopped...

ErBh3bv.png

Nooo!

9gygSzu.png

Unstoppable!

It was quiet on the transfer front:

ooMmXX1.png

A couple of defenders and a goalie. I think he may be Akinfeev, but I'm not much good at spotting goalie regens.

The season in review:

aYzMPnl.png

Good result, but a terrible debut from my new defender.

wevzzdD.png

Penalty torture again, but a win, nonetheless.

kGCVwhZ.png

He's a hero. Got to love the Internacional scorer's name :)

tUnDYRI.png

Another bit of silverware.

fqoPnfr.png

More penalties and another win.

xZInQw8.png

A disappointing performance by previous standards.

mqm2RbW.png

Pretty.

SxdINNr.png

Quite a run, but what a team to lose to.

Origi had a few targets to aim for this season, so how did he do?:

MImnBAD.png

mfoMMJM.png

Still plugging away.

astdg6n.png

Only runner-up, but better than nothing

So he managed 1,000 club appearances and 1,500 goals, but is still three away from 100 international goals, pretty good going.

Rueda displaced Pozuelo from his assist throne:

WTOpm1F.png

bIJzZWG.png

Impressive

My stats:

kxI60SC.png

Q2tK6rj.png

kvnnfa1.png

Loads of green.

Leandro:

rlno6Gv.png

A bit out of condition.

A9JczBk.png

Another good season.

It was time for me to take Belgium to the World Cup and, of course, Origi came along, too. His sixth World Cup: more than any other player in the history of the game. This is how it went:

sYVgB4t.png

OdR992D.png

g95IXiq.png

2nmFd59.png

The second round saw me drawn against the Netherlands. Surely an easy victory awaited my brave lads:

C3QcaDM.png

Fiddlesticks! Just to add insult to injury, the winning goal was scored by an Ajax player.

Deeply disappointing after such a successful season.

Progress

Games Played: 1,006

Goals Scored: 1,409

Goals Required: Nil

The Bernard Voorhoof Challenge

International Goals: 97/30

Goals scored in World Cup: 6/2

Goals scored at club level: 1,409/350

Origi finally seems to have retirement on his mind, but I have him for at least one more season. 1,500 club goals definitely looks unachievable, but I hope to get him to 100 international goals. By the end of next season Origi will be 40, I wonder if he'll carry on beyond that.

Awesome to see such dedication to a career. I know it's not all over yet, but I'm looking forward to the next :D

Have to agree with Leroy, amazing dedication and season :D.

Really looking forward to chasing this down ;)

Thanks chaps. I'm still enjoying it so I'll keep at it for at least as long as Origi does.

Still amazing. Keep his career for as long as possible - maybe he can last all 30 seasons ?  :P

That would be excellent. Mind you, he'd be 47 or so by the end of the last season. You never know... He must already be the last real player left in a world of regens (and double regens).

Season 22

divock+origi.jpg

Thanks for all the comments; they may be all that's keeping Origi's ageing bones together as he hobbles through another season.

Another quiet season for transfers:

NTjaWKx.png

I was sad to see Mihaljevic leave, he was a fantastic central midfielder, but it's difficult to keep players at Ajax if they're ambitious, and I had plenty of other good players in the same position. I brought in a wingback (Noda) and a backup striker (Bustos) to cover the matches that Orig was too tired to play in.

The season went pretty nicely:

HoUjdev.png

A nice easy friendly to start the season :)

LJBhApv.png

Closer than I'd have liked.

qwwFkbm.png

No need for penalties this time.

mjSaaee.png

Origi still loves to score at the Club World Championship.

MvCsfv3.png

Curses.

3WcLMJn.png

Real Madrid must hate me. I have no idea how we managed to win this one.

SrWf9gU.png

Pretty solid.

Only one realistic target for Origi, this season : 100 international goals. But did he manage it?:

SP4EOZu.png

Of course he did.

ADsc6Fw.png

Oh dear.

CWpcv1a.png

That's my boy... or middle aged man. This should mean that I have him for at least one more season after this one :)

BEMLJN0.png

40 years old and still looking passable enough.

gYpsqkF.png

But age is starting to dull his edge.

Just 1,500 club goals left as a target, but with his scoring slowing down, I doubt it's possible.

Rueda once again provided the assists:

zck3hYJ.png

My stats:

H7JJFSq.png

0ZCg4Hr.png

plocBfA.png

I had a tiny bit of interest from other clubs...

KrmlicH.png

pEE9YNK.png

UW8AYve.png

PB4oPBO.png

MWS04nm.png

qmu0XA2.png

yV00Jmx.png

hOOP9R2.png

It was a chain reaction really. A club would offer the job to me, I'd reject it and they'd hire the manager of another big club. That club would offer me the job, I'd reject them and so on. Nice to be wanted, but I'm sticking with Ajax.

Leandro:

biERjsF.png

QCcDakr.png

Not bad.

I wasn't the only one in the family that had caught the eye of a big club:

Fw7KJKp.png

0pfltsK.png

WSbl4gg.png

Calm down, son. A new contract made him happy again.

No huge news on the Belgium front. The Euro qualifying got off to a solid start and Origi scored plenty of goals.

Progress

Games Played: 1,041

Goals Scored: 1,440

Goals Required: Nil

The Bernard Voorhoof Challenge

International Goals: 109/30

Goals scored in World Cup: 6/2

Goals scored at club level: 1,440/350

Surely Origi can't go on for much longer, but he's not finished just yet. Remember, comments stop his poor old legs breaking :D

Just caught up with this Peely - absolutely fantastic!!! :D

Thanks Mr Squirrel. One of my star midfielders is a Killie fan :)

Don't sell to Spurs! They just wAste talent :P

Anther great update, contender for career of the year.

Leandro's going nowhere, unless it's with me, after Origi's hung up his boots.

I'll try to get the next updae done this evening.

Ah yes, it was Arsenal that wanted my boy, wasn't it.

I've had a few players get upset about me not allowing them to transfer to Tottenham. Spurs have won nothing for about ten years, whereas Ajax have won the Champions League four years in a row, along with loads of other things. Sometimes this game can be a little annoying...

My dear lady wife is occupying the computer this evening and there's no way I'm going to attempt an update on my tablet, so I'm afraid the next installment of Origi will have to wait until tomorrow.

I think i just fell in love with a career... Epic stuff mate!

Thanks very much for the kind comment. I'm afraid I'm once again unable to get on my computer. I promise to update as soon as possible.

It's really not that hard to update from your device. It seems like an uphill battle from the start but once you're in the groove it takes no time.

Not that I'm suggesting you do, do it in your own time.
