Background

Greetings all! This site has truly been a godsend, and I've learnt much about the game here, along with lots of nice tactics. Now being a lifelong arsenal supporter, I've tried to come up with a custom tactic that fits them instead of using some of the tactics here. After some tinkering, here are my results.

Note: I've only tried this tactic on arsenal, but in theory it should work for teams with overall decent passing/movement

Pros:

- High tempo passing style = high possession

- Very offensive, you will score. Lots of shots

- Goals come from the whole team and not just the striker

Cons:

- Make sure your squad has some depth, they will get tired easily

- Highly dependent on the BWM/BBM

Here goes nothing!

The beauty of this tactic is the fluidity of the team. It is designed to bring balls up the bitch utilising the BPD, BBM and APM. The DLF not only scores but also creates opportunities for the APM and InF to score. The non-stop movement of the team ensures that there will be players everywhere on the pitch, whether attacking or defending.

What you will need

1) A good BBM

This guy will contribute both offensively and defensively. Works in tandem with the BWM to harass the midfield and win balls. High tackling and shooting states are difficult to find though. Ramsey/Wilshere can work here.

2) A good BWM

This guy is your main midfield destroyer. Though a BWM sitting in front of the back four will be more defensive, the BWM in this tactic aims to win balls in the middle of the pitch. If the opposition manages to get past him, that's where the BBM comes in. Expect lots of cards coming his way, especially with committed tackling.

3) Decent passing/movement/teamwork stats across the team will help a lot

Short passing means players must and will move around. They need to know where their teammates are.

I managed to beat Real Madrid but lost to Barcelona in the Champion's League semifinal. Suarez is just X_X

What to do in sticky situations

Let's face it. Teams such as Chelsea and Man City with their unlimited millions will outplay you from time to time. Barca and Real Madrid with their squads will be tough opponents. Or your squad may be going through a loss of form. Or injuries. Anything can happen. This section will help if you find that you are losing or just losing possession.

- Losing possession? Change tackling to committed

- Tough away game? Changing mentality from attacking to balanced might help

- Too leaky? Change the BPD to CTR, right WBk to FBk

- Not getting the ball up? Change the BBM to DLM

I hope this helps! Would appreciate feedback as well  ^_^
