All this on enhanced! Amazing to still be going!

I think it's somewhere between 3-4min per game.

I multi-task my way through it and since the results are positive I have no complaints.  ^_^

Hey bat this save must be completed, plsssss don't let me down

Everytime I click 'continue' I fear his retirement announcement. You don't wanna know

This will be heart-breaking if he doesn't succeed now! Come on Malcolm!

It's going to be awfully close. I'm too afraid to make predictions.

If he does retire could try persuation, worked for me with Robben before. Either way good luck!!

I'll try every dirty trick in the book if it comes to that, thanks.

Season 18

With every season that passes Malcom comes closer to that finish line. But to be brutally honest I'm starting to worry about his age and his deteriorating physique. He's becoming an old man in the football world and he still needs a large chunk of goals to collect the needed 200 in Holland and bring this challenge to a closure.

He had a more than acceptable season considering his age combined with a noticeable decline in goals which will likely continue into the next season these facts got me a bit nervous.

Let's have a check how Malcom gave his all in his 18th season.

July

yhn12.jpg

A Hat-Trick to begin the season. Statement delivered. Dutch Super Cup added to the cabinet.

August

yhn13.jpg

A brace and a solid victory. We started the season on a high.

September

yhn14.jpg

Robbed off a hat-trick. Referee admitted his error and was suspended for the following weekend.

October

Plagued by a few injuries and a couple games with the odd goal or penalty. Nothing worth pasting

November

yhn16.jpg

Look at that brace in the closing minutes!! That's the works of topclass strikers.

December

yhn18.jpg

Believe it or not this was the same referee who robbed Malcom of his hat-trick back in September.

He got a lifelong suspension. Good riddance.

January - March

Missing about 5-6 games due to injury as well as adding another year to his age

Happy 35th Birthday Bro

He struggled a bit to find the net. Good games but no great ones. He scored his goals

as usual but no braces and no hat-trick to be screenshot.

April

yhn3.jpg

Former club down. Malcom's back with his typical brace. This victory over rivals PSV meant the league was ours once again.

May

yhn5.jpg

A very good away performance at Stamford Bridge. Deserved win but our earlier home loss in the

Amsterdam ArenA 1-2 meant we were beaten on away goals and will have to watch the CL final on tv.

Bummer.

Malcom is the best in Holland

Malcom's goals this season

yhn11.jpg

Definitely nothing to be ashamed of but I'm almost certain he won't be able to present these numbers next season.

Malcom's Form

yhn10.jpg

He picked it up to ensure the pretty 1goal/game ratio but it wasn't easy as he didn't last 90 minutes anymore.

Malcom's Profile

yhn9.jpg

Look at this old man. Does it look like he still has 125 goals in him?

I can't get those 3 wasted seasons out of my head. Well that's the time it took to get him to Holland

but let's not forget he stayed twice as long in Spain scoring over 400 goals.

Getting him to the clubs was harder than getting those goals which makes this challenge extra hard.

- 896 games - 953 goals -

(excl. 8 games not under my management)

Road to 800 goals:

Chapter 1: Malcom in Brasil (completed)

- 1st season: 45 goals (Corinthians)

- 2nd season: 62 goals (Corinthians)

- 3rd season: 63 goals (Corinthians)

- 4th season: 74 goals (Corinthians) +

total of 244 goals in Brazil

Chapter 2: Malcom in Spain (completed)

- 5th (1/2-)season: 46 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 6th season: 55 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 7th season: 81 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 8th season: 72 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 9th season: 57 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 10th season: 85 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 11th (1/2)season: 38 goals (Atletico Madrid) +

total of 434 goals in Spain

Chapter 3: Malcom in England (completed)

-11th (1/2)season: 35 goals (Manchester United)

- 12th season: 65 goals (Manchester United)

- 13th season: 63 goals (Manchester United)

- 14th season: 37 goals (Manchester United)

- 15th season: 0 goals (Manchester United)

- 16th season: 0 goals (Manchester United)

- 17th(1/2)season: 0 goals (Manchester United) +

total of 200 goals in England

Chapter 4: Malcom in Holland (in progress)

- 17th(1/2)season: 23 goals (Ajax)

- 18th season: 52 goals (Ajax)

- 19th season: ..... goals (Ajax) +

total of 75 goals (..in progress)

Progress:

675goals.jpg

Do you think Malcom can get those 1000 goals?

Do you still think this 800-goals-around-the-globe is still realistic?

Comments, suggestions, support, welcome.

Cheers!

Hey bat judging by those stats am afraid getting the 125 goals would be extremely difficult I mean he is old!.this is were your managerial skills comes in I guess.good luck

He is on a long contract which is the biggest bonus. I don't remember a player retiring on my 20 year career whilst still under contract. Which leaves his stats and injury. How low could his stats crash and will injury force retirement.

Personally I wouldn't risk a career ending injury by letting his stamina drop too low during games or playing him from the start with less than 90% fitness.

Good luck!

1000 goals should pop in next season already, if you're lucky. But those 125 goals are going to be tough tough tough.

I need 47 goals to get a 1000. A challenging amount for a 35/36 yo. But I'm confident too.

I still think you've got this! Bring it home!!

That's the mentality I need. Thanks mate.

I need a few seasons more of him hopefully he sits out his contract.

Same here, can't recall players retiring before expiry of their contracts.

Yes, I'm keeping a very close eye on his fitness. Always do tho on all of my players.

I either play him 60min and sub him or if not fully fit bring him on for last half an hour. If he lasts his contract this should give me the needed goals.

Cheers guys.

You've got this! Must say, this career is a great read, and tbh i'm glad you made a small judgement error when you started, because it added a nice touch of stress to the career. :)

So close, KIU - this career has shown what a great challenge the round the world challenge is, as you can't just pick a wonderkid and bang in the goals, you have to deal with being able to move clubs (or not!)

I've got plenty of stress in the real world but you're right it's the cherry on the cake. Thanks  ;)

If you pull this off this will be something special,GLA my friend!

Thanks big.

Yes I was more worried about the goals than the clubs but it's proven the opposite.

This challenge definitely demands careful planning, so it's been my learning experience too.

What a career though! I'm on edge waiting to see how it all ends! Glad he's on a long contract :)

KIU

Thanks. I'm glad he's enjoying his football too much to retire.

Definitely my favourite career this year, and you've almost got it!! Come on mate, gonna be close!

Thanks Dan.

Wrapping the season up for an update later today.

Season 19

Malcom is 35 and obviously his attributes aren't as good as they used to be. He started with me as a young 17 year-old boy and he's now a full-grown man. His experience will come in handy in the big games but due to his age I'll need to be careful not to overplay him. I've decided to start him and see how long he lasts and it's proven a decent tactic but I'm almost certain next season he'll need to come off the bench and probably play 2nd half only when the opposition is a bit tired as to give him a better chance to score goals. It's been a tough season I must admit. Here it goes:

August

Screenshot_2015-02-03-14-04-12.png

Feyenoord overpowered in the ArenA.

September

Screenshot_2015-02-03-14-12-43.png

Just managed to produce his first brace. Very few of those this season.

October

Screenshot_2015-02-03-16-38-53.png

And another brace. Only his second. Very good nonetheless.

November

Screenshot_2015-02-03-17-02-57.png

Two more goals for the old man. He's still got it.

December

Screenshot_2015-02-03-18-31-16.png

Outstanding. His one and only Hat-Trick this season. Versus PSV couldn't have chosen a better opponent.

January

Screenshot_2015-02-03-23-43-49.png

Feyenoord down in De Kuip. This one will taste sweet for all the Ajax fans out there.

February

Screenshot_2015-02-04-07-10-40.png

A brace again. Very nice as he's trying to catch up to his 1 goal/game ratio.

March

Screenshot_2015-02-04-12-15-49.png

Last year's loss in semi's can be forgotten now. We're even.

And it's a welcome Birthday gift for our killer.

- Happy 36th Birthday Malcom -

April

Screenshot_2015-02-04-13-00-52.png

Bayern down. Beating Man City in the semi's we're on our way to the finals.

May

Screenshot_2015-02-04-15-05-39.png

Champions of Europe. And Malcom plays a significant part it in. Good job lad.

Malcom may be old but he's still the best

Malcom's goals in his 19th season

Screenshot_2015-02-04-15-07-28.png

I just couldn't squeeze more out of him. Was hoping to hit 1000 this season but that will have to wait.

He can no longer play full games so reduced time on the pitch results in a decline in goals.

As for the goal/game ratio that's not for him anymore. 30-40 goals/season is plenty.

Malcom's Form

Screenshot_2015-02-04-15-07-18.png

Not what we're used of him no braces towards the end no hat-tricks either. But decent I think. We did our best.

Malcom's Profile

Screenshot_2015-02-04-15-06-30.png

That's the reality.

1KC should be ok but what about the 800 goals challenge? I need two

more seasons of 40+ goals. Look at him?? Can he do it?

- 949 games - 993 goals -

(excl. 8 games not under my management)

Road to 800 goals:

Chapter 1: Malcom in Brasil (completed)

- 1st season: 45 goals (Corinthians)

- 2nd season: 62 goals (Corinthians)

- 5th (1/2-)season: 46 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 6th season: 55 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 7th season: 81 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 8th season: 72 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 9th season: 57 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 10th season: 85 goals (Atletico Madrid)

- 11th (1/2)season: 38 goals (Atletico Madrid) +

total of 434 goals in Spain

Chapter 3: Malcom in England (completed)

-11th (1/2)season: 35 goals (Manchester United)

- 12th season: 65 goals (Manchester United)

- 13th season: 63 goals (Manchester United)

- 14th season: 37 goals (Manchester United)

- 15th season: 0 goals (Manchester United)

- 16th season: 0 goals (Manchester United)

- 17th(1/2)season: 0 goals (Manchester United) +

total of 200 goals in England

Chapter 4: Malcom in Holland (in progress)

- 17th(1/2)season: 23 goals (Ajax)

- 18th season: 52 goals (Ajax)

- 19th season: 40 goals (Ajax)

- 20th season: ..... goals (Ajax) +

total of 115 goals (..in progress)

Progress:

715goals.png

I'm confident those 1000 goals are just a matter of time but the 800-goals-around-the-globe?? Hmmm...

If he sees out his contract I think he and I will get there slowly but steadily as this sprint has clearly become a marathon now but if he starts picking up too many injuries..or decides to retire out of nowhere I'm doomed.

Thoughts, prayers, suggestions, support welcome.

Cheers!

Omg look at those stats!,I am certain he wouldn't last 45 mins next season. The 1kc seems to be in the bag already but getting 800 goals seems slim at this point.Would be nice if you can pull it off though.Kiu

This is tight! I think he'll announce retirement this season so as long as he does reconsider you have 2 seasons max!

Congratz on the 1k though, some achievement considering everything.

Thanks for the support guys.

I'm running a few test saves at the moment trying to recreate this scenario with both 2 and 3 strikers up front as I don't think it's wise to let him handle things alone anymore up there at his age.

I'm close to finding the perfect formation and tactics to accommodate our old friend. I'm hopeful.

Cheers!

@ UKF, yes you're right officially that 1KC is done but as those int. goals weren't under my management I don't feel I should add them. Can't wait to see those 1K apps as well as 1K goals :)

@Leecutler, I'll place some cold beers in the dressing room for after his 1000th goal
