Season Seven Complete

 

Kozlov finished with a very good return and nearly a goal a game.

 

 

Good season overall, more cups and finished runner up in the league. Defeats against Barca and Real cost me along with some silly draws that I really should have won.

 

 

Top again and Kozlov finished his season with the player of the year. Firmino had another great season, will be hard to replace him in a few seasons.

 

 

Rafa the Gaffa just pipped me for the Manager award

Season Eight

Kozlov was a consistent striker but nothing special so didn't feel too bad dropping him down to the B team. For the my next striker I thought I would go for a nice Italian...

Berardi has started like a train! 30 goals done by Christmas.

 

 

He takes the Ballon d'Or too.

 

 

Finishes the season level with Benteke on 63 goals, great season.

 

 

Finally managed to lift the Champions league!

Berardi was outstanding for me so was a shame to see him go, flogged him back to PSG for £25m so made a little profit 

For the next main man, I kept it in the family (well maybe not strictly correct!)

Challenge is going well, 8 seasons in and no real drama's. Have a well balanced squad now but will need to look for replacements for Saul, Koke, Firmino and Dzagoev soon.

Berardi ended the season with some impressive stats after one season. Would love to carry on with this guy

Odegaard is doing ok but at present can't force his way past Roberto Firmino or Ángel Correa at present plus I have bought Rooney's regen to play in the AMC position so he is just a squad player but he does score well for an AMC.

Season Ten

Berardi Mark II was another excellant signing, hit the ground running and was instrumental in such a great season. For Number 10 I decided to go an exciting regen from South America.

Just a question if you don't mind.. why don't you use a few more real players? You're just in season 10 there are some very good and promising 18, 19, 20 year olds in the database at the beginning of the game who are now approaching 30. Surely these real players are still good enough to get you the required amount of goals.

 

To be honest I would much rather follow these real guys at the end of their career than regens. It's fun to see how these real guys would've developed over time and would have made an even more eye-catching journey imo.

You'll have plenty of time to use regens later on when all real players have retired.

 

Just my honest thoughts, mate.

To be honest I have been trying to sign players that start in the game but the stamina bug has hit so many good young strikers that I would be risking the challenge if I signed out and could only play him every 2 or 3 games. Players like Malcolm, Zivkovic, Vietto, Martial..all have stamina under 10. My next striker is a 31 year old so I am trying...

There's indeed too many affected by the bug unfortunately but if you could find a few real ones for a couple more seasons that would be so much better. Takes a bit of extra time to look for them but worth it.

Season Eleven

 

Rodriguez was the best striker I have signed so far and helped me to a perfect season of trophies. From 19 year old I decided to go with one of my favourite players of game, who at 31 I think can still cut it.

Not sure, it is proving tough to find a decent striker with stamina 15 and over! The bug really ruins the game but I will carry on...

Yeah, Volland is a legend, he would have been pushing 75 goals plus in his prime, got a few more oldies coming up. Hope they still manage to find the net!

Season Twelve

Volland proved the oldies still have a goal scoring instinct to help me out in this challenge so I continued with the 30 somethings and went for a home grown talent for Atlético.

Alcácer had a few injury problems, out for two months so took till February to hit 30 goals

 

 

Barca ruin our unbeaten run

Alcácer did just enough for me, was a bit nervous with his injuries but he had enough quality to get me the 30 goals needed. Stuck with another homegrown talent for season 13.

Thanks, its going well so far. Rodriguez was phenomenal but as Suarez' regen you would expect it. Not sure I will manage to top that.

No, he was fine all the way through my career, him and Saul were stalwarts in my midfield, once Firmino goes it will be a sad day but he is still playing at 38! I just tried to find a nice spanish kit image...

Marti was a great presence up front for me and produced the goods right from the first game. Back to the oldies now and an FM favourite to carry on the challege...
