Questions regarding coaches

Say I havent got a goalkeeping coach at a club but all slots are taken. My questions are

1. Do I have to improve the training facilities to get a new slot

2. If i get a new slot, do current players end up with a coaching ability that is reflective of their PA eg will Buffon end up as the best GK coach in game?

3. Are all coaches with same badge equal eg if 2 coaches apply for a job and both have same qualifications, how do i work out who is better?

how many coaches do you have already? 4 coaches are maximum. (but when you get coach badge, you can be the fivth coach ).

1. The number of coaching slots is based on the level of your facilities.

2. Good players don't necessarily make good coaches. 

3. When you have 2 coaches with the same qualifications, the big difference is their area of focus (I like to have 1 youth, 1 fitness and 2 attacking personally but it's entirely up to you).

Thanks for the responses. Just hoping for some clarifications:

1. I see Liverpool have 5 coaches -including the manager. So does that mean that if you have maxed out training facilities then you have 6 coaches including the manager?

2. How do you work out what makes a former player a good coach?

3. So 2 GK coaches with gold badges are effectively as good as one another?

1. I assume that you are the Liverpool manager? The maximum amount of coaches you can have is 4 + 1 manager with maxed out facilities.

2. Players with good mental/hidden attributes are more likely to be a good coach, but not guaranteed. They will need to take exams to improve their badge though!

3. Yes, the main thing to do is make sure that you have gold coaches in the specialisations that you want for your team e.g. do you want goalkeepers to get coaching boosts or youth/attacking players?
