PriZe presents The LM10 – a 3-2-3-1-1 formation OME

As promised I would post the tactic I am using in my Messi career. You can see the results with Messi posted over there. Now to make it clear I have built this tactic specifically for Messi, so I haven’t tested it with any other team.

 

Background

Some of you may know me from the tactics the Black Pearl and the Ziv. If you remember those tactics, they had wingers in them, and they supplied the most assists, and a lot of goals came from headers.

If always stayed away from great strikers with pore heading stats cause I just couldn’t get them to score 100 goals a season which I preferably want for a 1KC. This tactic is focused on supplying the striker with as much passes over the ground as possible.

 

The tactic

How do you get as much passes to your striker? Well in the end the solution was pretty simple, get as much “playmakers” in too the squad while remaining defensively stable. The spine of the squad is the most defensive part, a BWM and a limited defender with just one goal, get the ball and pass it too someone who can deliver a good ball up the pitch. One warning, get enough midfielders cause they will get tired and I sub 3 of them every game.

Instructions

You want a focus on possession and best way to do this imo is by starting out balanced and supply short passes. It is also a very narrow formation so the passing focus is set on center with short distribution of the GK. With 5 at the back you can pressure your opponent easily and offside trap tries to stop speedy strikers.

 

The player roles

The Ball playing defenders

I choose to use the ball playing defender cause they are more adventurous and if you use the correct player, the will give those important passes to either the wing back or the midfield to start an attack. I would recommend greens in the area of passing, tackling and decisions.

The Limited defender

Too many attacking and passing minded players will kill you. This lad will be your wall, he has one job and that is too stop the opponent and give the ball to his colleagues. I would recommend greens in the area of aerial, tackling, strength and decisions.

Wing backs

These lads are the engine of the team. The right wing back will make all the difference and for me the wing back have been in the top 5 every season with best average ratings. It is of utmost importance that you use wing backs who have high stamina and speed, they will have to go up and down the pitch, and will have to do so for 90 minutes at least. Greens in crossing, stamina, speed, teamwork are preferable!

The AMC’s

I have divided how I play my attacking midfielders in three separate ways.

Central AMC - APM

 The APM behind the striker can be your all-round AMC.

The left AMC - APM

The left AMC is my creative outlet. I tend to go for Wingers who can play in the midfield and have good AMC traits or the all out AMC’s. I like them to be speedy as well. This lad will act as a second striker cause he will storm up the pitch a lot and he will either assist or score for you.

The right AMC - APM

For the right AMC I tend to go for players like Can, or Hojberg. What sets them apart is that they both have the all the necessary stats to act as an AMC but are defensively also very strong. This makes your midfield more stable. Think Deep playmakers and you will have success!

I advise you to have greens in teamwork, passing, creativity, tackling (for right amc) speed and stamina.

The Ball winning midfielder

You can go both ways imo, use a destroyer or more of a playmaker like Busquets. I prefer my BWM to be more of a playmaker so he can spread the ball around. But if your low on cash, go for the destroyer. This lad and the Limited defender are your most defensive minded players.

The striker

The tactic is for a poacher, specifically for all those great players with pore aerial stats. You can use what you like here if you ask me, I reckon with good aerial stats the striker will get even more lethal.

Player Attributes

I strongly advise you to have a look at Dec his great article about player Attributes. If you follow those and my instructions religiously this tactic will start to deliver for you!

Please tell me how you do it PriZe. I love football but buliding tactics from scratch is just difficult. I read everything you and Dec post and usually make variations of stuff you guys post but I just can't seem to do it! But once again thanks for sharing PriZe!!!!

Testing testing and testing. I mostly have a general idea how i want the team to play or what i want, and then i just start testing. 

So for instance with the three midfielders, i noticed in my test save that against good opponents they struggeld. So i put in someone more defensive to see if it helped and it did. Just a bit of trial and erro ;-)

Yeah sorry team instructions are what i switch two in second half if in need for a goal.

so mentality on balanced and passing on short to start with m8

Narrow formation is more effective for  EME in FMM2016.

I am waiting someone to work out good wide formation. When you free pease test some wide formation. Thanks.

Im not having much success with this at Chelsea right now, but when it will settle down I guess it will work wonders. (attacking seems great, but I appear to be very leaky at the back, combined with poor GK ratings)

what's your line up mate and what instructions are you using? Did a little test with Everton and we were owning the league. So it should suit the BPL

@PriZe The tactic would boss most leagues, but I think some people will just put the tactic then select any players.

Imo with most tactics you have to Base your team around your striker and play players with good attributes in the right position, it's not a case of selecting the tactic and just guess working the players to fit the roles

Completely agree, you can't just slap on a tactic, especially this tactic, cause base roles are very attacking and you need to balance it out with players and their stats. Thats why i put some effort in describing who too use, otherwise it will be hit and miss.

But I think alot of people just assume that they can just stick the tactic and dominate the world, but this looks like another world class tactic by PriZe.

Im not a beginner , so I know what I am doing :P. I think its just my striker is inconsistent (he is too young), because we seem to create chances, but we rarely convert them   my line up is : Begovic (Courtois did very poorly) - Zouma, Terry as BPDs, Ivanovic as LD, Azpilicueta and Aurier are my wingbacks, Matic is BWM, left AP is Hazard, right AP with defensive contribution is Oscar (reasonable defensive attributes), AP in AMC position is Willian. name of my striker is secret for now but you can send me message if you want some more information

not trying to imply your a beginner m8  sorry if it came over that way. Anyways, a young striker can be the issue with the lack of goals. I'm doing a testsave with a young striker atm and he is pretty inconsistent in his first season as well. What i do know is that Oscar (for me ) is on the brim of not being good enough as the "defensive" apm. I mainly use players with 15+ tackling at the right Mid spot, the exception is the Hojberg lad, but he doesn't perform as well as Can. So improving that spot might help you get better stability on the midfield.

Tactic seams solid matey, stopped using it once in December, hadn't lost a game.

now using it with Norwich. Need so many players with no money. 

That does annoy me with this game...the starting transfer kitty! Norwich 2m!! One of the few clubs in the country with no debt and even if you make Europe the following season your lucky to get 6m...unrealistic!!

yeah, I had my eyes on Verratti , but I wanted to keep as many original Chelsea players as possible I will wait a while with this, maybe it takes a bit longer to glue in my team (although I think its the striker)
