Career My Little Carpi

 Share

Recommended Posts

Good evening Vibers,

Usually I will be managing Fulham for my first save as always- but long story short, I was fired towards the end of our first season back in the Premier League. Yes Khan strikes again, apparently a poor run of form caused the board and fans to forget that I had secured safety way before.

So what's left for me now that Fulham do not need me anymore?

I'm surprised that no one has taken up the Carpi Challenge yet. The Copa90 video says everything: they are the underdog team to manage in the first edition of Football Manager Mobile.

Can I bring some cheer to the Carpi ultras making the effort to visit their rivals' (ugh) stadium, just to see a Serie A 'home' game?

Forza Carpi!

Pre-Season Update

"Crazy" Manager Makes Instant Impact

OUT

New Carpi manager Seth Anacondas has caused quite the uproar by selling eight of Carpi's heroes, including long-time servants Di Gaudio and Bianco. Fans are obviously upset, even though giving them first-team football is the best way to honour these legends.

Yes, that's THE Denys Garmash, Carpi's new captain who rejected Barcelona of all teams! Luis Enrique was left shocked after the Dynamo Kyiv man looked for "first-team football".

Meanwhile, Marinho, Marçal, Cuesta and Colombi should all join Garmash in the first-team.

Fans are still mostly unconvinced, as the Singaporean manager seems to have "destroyed" the Carpi identity, selling eight Italians and buying just one (Colombi). Only three of last season's heroes remain in the first XI: Gagliolo, Letizia and Mbakogu, with Lasagna looking to come off the bench.

End Of Season 1

Moment of the Season

Vibe loves to show this image a lot- so here it is. A wonderful victory, especially with the Lazio owner moaning about teams like us costing his club TV revenue.

On the other hand...

I will put my hands up and admit that my tactics were awful, even playing two at the back at one point. But there was no bite from our players, they were too happy to play the sleepy possession style.

Super Mario (Sergio Santos Costa) wins convincingly!

Did Carpi Survive?

Just 2 points below Fulham's record Premier League points total.

And look who went down!

That ends Season 1, one of hopefully many seasons to come. Hope you all have enjoyed the adventures of little Carpi!

End Of Season 2

Transfers

Gabriel Silva and Gaspar Iñiguez were transfer listed after returning to their parent clubs- easy decision to purchase them for squad depth. Other notable signings include 2015 favourite Andrés Chávez, Genoa wonderkid Rolando Mandragora and former Porto goalkeeper Fabiano, plus M'Baye Niang on loan.

The biggest departure was want away right back Letizia. Like Gagliolo and Lasagna, he wanted to leave for a bigger club, but unlike them he did not play well.

Moment Of The Season

Verona were always tough to beat and we were 2-0 down at half-time. But three goals in twelve minutes saw us comeback in a thrilling goal-rich game.

Fail Of The Season

We used up all our tricks against Juventus. To add insult to injury, two of our best players, Cuesta and Marinho played poorly, one got 3/10 and the other got 4/10. Not that I want to remember.

Player Of The Season

Nigerian striker Jerry Mbakogu wins it over Marinho.

Benching Colombi after an inconsistent season seems to have worked. Rolando "Dragon" started the first half of the season, but was again too inconsistent. Former Leeds wonderkid Lewis Cook came in on loan and was class.

Marinho improved his all-round game, he was directly involved in 34 goals!

I lost the top-half screenshot unfortunately, but as seen above we finished 7th, above Inter.

Lazio beat Juventus to the Scudetto.

That's all for now. Happy New Year to all Vibers!
