Is it just my game that's broken?!

Hi all,

This is something that has been an issue for me since 15 on the EME, and still seems to be an issue - does anyone else find this happening or is it just me?!

No matter who I'm playing as, regardless of my formation (it's happened when playing 4321, 433, 442, 4141 even a really out there 3313 striker less (?!), and no matter who I play against, even if they start with a different tactic within 10 game minutes the AI will always switch to something like the below (the roles may vary slightly, e.g a target man or a BBM) with both flanks as the passing focus and mixed passing.

Obviously this is incredibly annoying and unrealistic and also seems to have no bearing on a)how they actually play in the highlights or b) how my tactics actually perform! My team will just randomly stop producing results or scoring - could understand this if the AI changed tactics to match mine but the only tactic they bloody use is this glitched 442 (half the time they will have players in totally random positions as well, like playing Messi as a BBM!) - is just that the opposition tactics screen is screwed up and they are actually changing tactics (which is no help at all to me as a player as how can I work out what to change???) or is the match engine just broken?

It's seriously making me want to give up on the game - the OME has many well documented issues (23 shots on target and no goal vs. AI having 2 shots and scoring 2 anyone?) but this is even worse - I spend ages creating a tactic that is well thought through (and works perfectly on the full PC game) but randomly stops working on the mobile when the only thing my opponent does is play a random 442.

Example of my results randomly going to pot below - I did not change tactics at any point and as far as the game was telling me, my opponents were playing 442 as pictured above through both the good and bad bit!

That is due to the game figuring out your tactic.

The issue is how ai figuring out without any tactics change?

It seems that they are changing early on in games. Maybe try their tactic then adopting a different approach that is working.

The issue I have with that is that would suggest then the counter tactic to every single tactic I've played to date is a flat 442 counter attack via the flanks?! Given it does this regardless of what I'm using (even against tactics that would destroy 442 like a 4231 or a 460 counter attack?!)

I have no problem the AI figuring it out, I play the full game and it happens enough there, but on that the counter tactic used will vary, not every side will be able to change effectively etc. the issue is that they are only changing to one tactic, and not exactly one that should be causing problems for any modern formation (it also makes no sense, how can you counter attack with 2 DLF's? There wouldn't be anyone sitting on the shoulders of the defence to pick the long ball over the top?)

I guess the only consistent feature of my tactics has been some form of pressing, I'll create one without that and see if the same thing happens..
