Help Problem with Spanish Cup (Copa del Rey)

I don't know if anybody else have this problem, but currently i'm managing a third division team in Spain, in my first year i played the spanish cup (Copa del Rey), but in my second and third year i did not played any games i thought it was because i was in the 3rd division and that i was not eligible, but now im in 2nd division im still not participating in the spanish cup, maybe you know the answer to this problem, thank you in advance.
