Career Bringing back the glory days to Man Utd

Evening all,

So my pal Ash has given me the want to post to VIBE so here it is, please be gentle!

 

Took the plunge, bitten the bullet, gone for the tainted job of Man Utds boss. Here I am filling the boots of Sir Alex when the likes of Moyes and LvG have come up short

 

First season I cleared out and spent a fortune but went for youth over experience.

I signed - Sisto (by far my fav player on the game), Sanches from benfica cost me a fortune at 20m but has become an absolute steal and has only jus turned 20 (currently in third season). Lastly I signed my fav striker which is Barbosa!! Absolute beast... so thats 3 youngens for the future.

I sold - Valencia, Fellani, Young and Carrick.

I loaned out nearly all my fringe/youngsters and a few first teamers,

Fosu Mensah, Varela, Pereira and Wilson I have high hopes for - they are all still loaned out getting game time in my 3rd season.

Tactic in use is -

Jordi De La Fuente - 3.5m 20yr old Argie currently on loan back to River -  high expectations for this guy, board saying hes poor business. But we all love to prove the board wrong!

Outs

Daley Blind - 10m AC Milan

Many other fringe players - 12 youngsters loaned out for game time.

Expectations this season - Win as much as I can and bring some more amazing talent to the forefront.

Also man, update season by season, follow someone else's careers as a guideline and use screenshots to prove, not saying you're lying it's just nice to see. Also we want to see team stats and so on...

I have bundles of youth in waiting, I sort of have a policy that I dont sign any one over 25 unless I think the deals worthwhile lol.

I have the following in my squad also -

Pickford, Iorfa, Cubas and Rashford.

The following are out on loan - Varela, P Jones, McNair, Odjier (signed for 9m but loaned out 20yr old cm), Pereira, Herrera (most likely going to sell), Fosu-Mensah, Januzaj (looking to sell him psg and real interested), Morillas (24k find - out on loan atm, may turn out good), Da la Fuente - loaned bk to river after I signed him.

Rooney in reserves cant sell him for love nor money!!! 22.5 release clause to get rid! Loaned to Luton last season!!!

When/Have you ever done a leeds save as their your fav side? Would defo read/follow that content. English only signings or something would be interesting as the amount of talented youth that comes out of leeds of late. Just an idea mate

I might give it ago at some point. I get too involved in a Leeds save but I actually haven't done one since FMM came out as my test save.

Would you recommend any wonder kids, I could take a look at them. May have turned out to not be wonder kids on my save, I have found that out previously.

Alot of people say Callum Gribbin is a talented player but Ive sold him a number of times when Ive been man utd, but signed him when I was lower league and he did wonders.

Excellent, Ill keep an eye out for that. I did leeds previously on fm15 really enjoyed it but found it a selling club due to the fight to get to the prem lol

I have never used Gribbin actually. But he usually has decent stats, though never performs. Hidden stats maybe.

Usually I buy Predrag Rajkovic, Jonathan Tah, John Stones, Martin Odegaard and Breel Embolo for saves with bigger clubs. My focus is usually on keepers and centre backs (Man Utd admittedly doesn't need a new keeper though)

Yeh De Gea is a beast. However when in r/l the madrid saga was going on I did sell him and replaced him with Rulli who I picked up on a free transfer (before the winter update).

Ive signed Embolo previously with Dortmund and he was amazing. Odegaard I signed on my spurs save which I made it to 2027 before I lost my saves thanks to the update and the drama I had with sega support

John Stones is expensive and Tah has just been signed by another club so missed the boat on that one.

Have you ever signed Rodrigo Bentancur from boca?

I took a risk and signed Balanta - aware people class him as a risk

Jan Update....

Laporte signed for 24.5m performance wise hes been a mixed bag atm too many 5 or 6 ratings for my liking..

Januzaj sold as contract was ending and he wanted 220k!!! No way..

Morgan schneid sold as I recalled youth players

Currently top with some cups won

I sold herrera to derby in a p/ex for hughes. I offered 15m plus herrera who was 21m of course they accepted lol. Only option I had to get herrera out. 

Not signing anyone else this season unless they are young and english. Cleared out alot of old man utd youth...keane, donald love and Rojo has been sold

Nope never used Bentancur.

Laporte usually goes to Real Madrid in my saves. The he'll rot and I'll buy him for 5.75m. Also, 24.5m? You could buy Stones for around that, AND he's better.

No stones is nearly 45m to buy on my save and man city and chelsea want him so it will go up even more. Laporte is doing well now, but if he demands another contract im going to sell him lol. 

Bentancur is quality keeping Sisto out atm and hes my fav player!

Betancur is the best youngster on the game, hands down! He's better than your DLP, wingers, APM, INF, BBM and CM when fully trained, mad player. Anyway, I digress, great thread mate KIU

Ive just signed Bentacur for the first time. What training do you guys normally give him: Attacking or General? Which does he respond better to?

Currently on IT training waiting on the results will post it here as soon as I see or dont see results lol. I retrained him as an att mid as I play him AMR (IF role) he scores quite a few hatrixs atm

In my Benfica save he's referred has a defensive winger, but i use him has a backup for BWM and so far he has delivered.
I included him in my General training.
