Hi all this is my FC Barcelona 86-87 attempt

I have decided to attempt Danovic78's Barcelona 86-87 challenge (original challenge post here: http://vibe.community/forums/topic/37735-the-fc-barcelona-86-87-challenge/) 

Pre Season 

In my first season at Barcelona I had a few tough choices to make. Firstly I had to pick my forward line but it was hard as I didn't want to use Sam Vokes (problem is he is the only good Welsh striker on the game apart from Bale) because of Danovic78's challenge attempt nor did I want to pick any player who's starting value was over 10mil to offer some originality to my attempt.

I have decided that my front three shall be:

Troy Deeney 

Jordan Rhodes

 

Tom Bradshaw

 

Transfers

 

Sold a few players that I personally didn't rate highly or who were on the outer IRL. This gave me a nice transfer budget to play with and I decided to flex my financial muscle and splash the cash on Stones and Coleman.

Hopefully my attempt goes well and I would appreciate any comments below

I nearly went for Rhodes too. Deeney looks outstanding in this update.

Are you using the Enhanced or Original Match Engine?

Good luck Real, interesting concept you've got here. Just one thing Jordan Rhodes valued at £15 Million must be a bug! Good luck mate I'll be watching with a keen eye.

Rhodes is worth a lot but he is good for any league and is a joy to have on the squad. Thanks for the support

Season 1

In my first season I started poorly and this continued throughout the season with Barca finishing 6th (Forgot to screenshot table) Sorry for the lack of detail will do better for next update. I also forgot to mention I will be doing the 5 season challenge.

Great start so far mate, following this with intent, sceptical about the acquisition of Bradshaw but the other 2 are class in FMM so should carry him over the line! Keep it up, can't wait for next instalment ??

Awesome for Bradshaw to get some love, used to play for Shrewsbury so I was tempted by him a few times.

Well Bradshaw is the only other good welsh striker apart from Vokes or Bale but he is a great buy 1.9million and he almost scored the same amount of goals he scored in league 1 which is great for this challenge as I know my welsh striker will build up the total too (I was expecting to rely on Deeney and Rhodes)

For a player who started in League 1 Bradshaw has shown himself to be truly amazing in the Liga BBVA.

Nice totals for three players who have all played in the lower leagues of English Football.

Hope you all enjoyed Season 2 and hopefully more success follows on in Season 3

Thanks and I totally agree but as I have shown with an earlier post I trust that Rhodes will perform at the highest level

Thanks and I agree with you. I have been shocked by how many goals my trio have scored and at the highest level is even better.

Keep going, you never know when one of your strikers might have an amazing season, I have had that before with a front three.

Conclusion

Well this challenge hasn't gone the way I wanted but I've completed the challenge and I'm a little sad it's over but I've enjoyed every second and it was great playing with Bradshaw, Rhodes and Deeney. I was shocked how well they went at a club I never dreamed they would play for. I would have never bought these players for Barcelona in another save but this challenge was great and full credit to Danovic 78 for creating this epic challenge that has made be love FMM 16 even more.
