Help Possible bug with Save Editor

 Share

Recommended Posts

Apologies if this is the wrong way to do this but I think I have tracked down a bug in the Save Editor. Im setting up an experiment and noticed that the shooting numbers drop dramatically for certain players. I believe this is because it now comprises 2 numbers (finishing and long shots). They appear fine when you view a player but when you edit them the figure for finishing isn't being brought through to the edit screen, So when you save, the finishing will be set to 0. For example, Messi has finishing 56 and long shot 21. Click edit and the screen shows his score for finishing as being 0.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't think we've ever been able to edit players stats via the SE, something to do with never cracking how they are made or something.

That's why the IGE stood out as it had stat editors.

I could be chatting rubbish as I don't keep up with such things but that's what I thought.

Yeah been able to edit stats with Jays editor previously. Comes in handy when you want to run experiments but need a control experiment to baseline it against

I also used to use it for every career I started, to reduce Ravel Morrison's PA as I cant stand the guy

PA isn't the be-all and end-all, often players will fail to reach their PA depending on their mental/personality attributes...

Or also can be better than the PA they have.

For example, in my Milan save (2018), Allan Saint-Maximin has 200 but in my Oviedo save (2016) he has 146.

Yeah I know but I was determined to make sure he never improved so set his PA to his starting CA - which combined with his attitude meant he quickly disappeared into oblivion. Maybe future versions could have an option which sees players sent to gaol if their characteristics are bad enough

Mind you I don't do it anymore to any players but that's mainly because Im too lazy to bother (although I was tempted to do it with Adam Johnson)

Could you tell us which attributes (mental / personality) will impact player to reach his PA?
