Season 2

 

After a promising first season, I was hoping to build on it this time around. Turns out i did quite alot more than that, and two titles later I have had one of my best seasons on fmm!

 

These are the transfers I believed would make the dream a reality, very happy with almost all of them, even though a couple were unfortunate this year and couldn't break into a very strong team.

This is how I set up for the majority of the season, tactically mostly unchanged from last campaign but with a couple of changes in personnel. 

Won the league with an amazing unbeaten home record and only losing away to palace early on and losing 4-1 at Chelsea but in the end they didn't matter, arsenal also went unbeaten at home, only drawing 1 at home to us and winning the rest! 3 points off chelseas 95 point record and the best attack and second best defence!!!

Coutinho was a little less effective this year but was still a major part of our success, with rafinha and sturridge stealing the show! 

After a slow start, he certainly caught up to his pace and fired home 46 in 56 games! Improvement on last year, and one of them was a very very... VERY important goal!

 

Never expected this! Was honestly hoping to maybe reach the quarters, and when I got through to the semi finals and the other three teams were sevilla barca and Villarreal, I couldn't imagine winning the whole thing!

Nerves nearly got the better of me as sevilla started well so I dropped off attacking and went balanced, turning out to be a stroke of genius and it turned the game on its head, giving me the win and my first champions league on this year's game!

 

Also winning the manager of the year award aswell as I think 3 monthly awards, and my players coming first and second in the player of the year award showed our dominance!

 

Brilliant second year then, and also reaching the league cup final, only to repeat last year's failings by losing on pens, doing the double was a proud achievement and can't wait to see what next season will bring!!!
