Introdunction to Rinus Michel

Rinus Michel is a legendary manager of the game and is credited as the creator of total football. He had an fantastic career as a manager spanning 4 countries and 32 years.

This man took a bang average ajax side who were struggling in the Eredivisie and made them multi-time champions, cup winners and European champions.

He then moved on to Barca, winning one La liga title. After this he went on to manage the Netherlands for a year before moving back to Ajax for two seasons.

He then made a return to Barcelona winning a Copa del Rey.

After this he moved to Los Angeles  to manage the Aztecs before moving to Germany and winning the DFB Pokal with FC Koln

He then managed the Netherlands twice between 1984 and 1988 winning the European championship in 1988.

He then had a year at Leverkusen and 2 years with the Netherlands to wrap up his career.
