Chat How useful is teamwork?

So the attribute thread made me look through some of the older guides from previous years and has made me doubt the importance of the Teamwork attribute.  Like would you rather have high Teamwork or Creativity on your central midfielder? Or high Movement?

Would you rather have high Teamwork or high Technique on your AP player? Or high Positioning?

I guess, ultimately, the question boils down to the choice between an individual statistic or a "vague" catch-all teamwork statistic.  Right?

I see it this way: high creativity and low teamwork means he'll be very creative but not the entire game and not every game (to put it bluntly) whereas low creativity and high teamwork means he won't be creative at all, at least not significantly enough to decide games.

That's how I see it, however, I do look at this teamwork attr. when choosing a captain for instance. If I got 2 or 3 experienced and high leadership players I'll look at teamwork (and decision) attr. before I make up my mind.

As my understanding, the teamwork is more important for defense.

To coordinate the defense shape when "press" is turned on.

To coordinate the off-side line when "off-side trap" is turned on.
