First playthrough of the game. Experimenting with tactics as I go. Enjoying the game. The ai seems to adapt well. I think picking a weaker team like I have rather than real Madrid gives the ai a chance to flourish and find tactics to beat me.

Currently I'm showing tactics I've trialled having copied from someone here on the forum. REF NEEDED. I have tried all sorts 4411 4321 451 442. I haven't gone to 3 at the back because I don't like that style but 343 seems like it works well for other players.

Ronaldo was a great signing aged 32. Aged 34 he is still useful. I have a regeneration striker who is world class but he is injured. When he was fit I was winning with this tactic. Now I have weak strikers and am having a run of 4 games without a win.

Its a link to the tactic i used most recently. I am finding that switching my tactic from side to side is confusing the ai and allowing me to keep winning. I think this is kind of cheating but its allowing me to break through into a genuine championship contender. Without flipping the tactic from side to side they can actually come up with a decent counter to this.

Another reflection is that if you have a dominant team. Then whatever tactics you use you can win. When you get to this point the ai will find it harder to crack your formation because even when it tries a decent counter tactic it doesnt work because they have inferior quality players. Maybe I am giving the ai too much credit.
