Career Starting From The Bottom

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, today  I  will  be starting my career in the lowest division in England. The team I chose to start with is Salford. Through  out this career I  will me moving clubs and will be asking for help at certain points.

Now that you've read the introduction let's  begin this brand new career

Nice start mate, signings are pretty hard to make down there so one recommendation I have is to try and get Jordan Bentley on loan from Plymouth. His stats grow pretty quickly and he's a very good squad player to have. Best of luck with the career, looking forward to seeing the updates.

@Jack @Jervon Esprit I am also embarking on a save with Salford City :D

To be frank, I am struggling in terms of tactics and tweaking them.

Presently, the Home tactic is a simple flat 442
-----------GK----------
FB----CD-----CD----FB
W---BWM---CM-----W
------TM-----AF--------
Instructions:
Balanced, Mixed, Mixed, Mixed, Normal

Whereas the Away tactic is a flat 451
----------GK----------
FB----CD----CD----FB
---BBM--DLP--CM---
W-------------------IF
----------P-----------
Instructions:
Balanced, Short, Mixed, Mixed, Normal

Questions:
1) Do you guys watch the match in Extended mode and on Fast/Medium/Slow? If so, how do you react/counter opposition's tactics?
2) I realised that the tactics I deployed for both Home and Away are rather basic and as a result the goals scored is rather low, despite being top of the league after about 15 matches. Do I need to change anything at this point of time?

The tactics that u use isnt really what i use sometimes i change to a 4 at the back but i use a 3 at the back

now for ur questions

question no.1: no i do not

question no.2: i realised that salford had 7 strikers so i made my tactics around the attack since the midfeild doesnt have that much depth and the full backs at the club can to a decent job at centre back

I m playing with oxford city and going with 3-2-3-2 attk. it is good if you have 3 best def at the back.

that is kind of the formation i use at salford

one thing i realised is that having a defensive forward and an advance forward is a very good partnership and a ball winning midfeilder with a deep lying player. at the back i also have 2 limited defender with a centre back to reduce the amount of goals conceded

That sounds pretty solid indeed with the appropriate players.

Looking forward to seeing how you progress in the lower leagues.

Liking this already. I have a hugely enjoyable career going with Eastleigh at the moment, from the Vanarama Premier, it's great fun. Look forward to seeing you climb the ranks.
