Hehehe, the relatively small amount of goals was indeed not the key motivator. Figuring out ways to get him the goals in the best formation, roles, types of players alongside him etc was what kept me hooked.

It says per annum, which is fancy latin for per year. It had me blinking in surprise as well the first time I saw it

It's yearly. 15+M is for worldclass players at their peak, so he definitely asked for a little extra at the age of 37 I think he was but I thought what the heck why not, he deserves it.

Had my fingers crossed for 300, but 272 is an absolutely fantastic achievement and I totally understand when they reach that point that it's just not happening for them any more.

His last season was terrible with just 2 goals. That's what kept me going, knowing it was his last
