So!

Seeing everybody doing 1K challenges, and 80 goals in a season challenges, i thought... Yeah i can do that! 

So upon winning the Premier League (again might i add) with Tranmere - i thought, my team are quite good, let me see if i can smash out 80 goals in the season (2022/2023).

I decided to use Zach Clough as he is an all round decent player and he has done me well scoring 51 goals in 50 games in 2021/22 and 25 goals in 32 games 2020/21.

He had been called up for England so thought i could use this to my advantage!!!

Made it to April 2023 and was sitting pretty on 65 goals, and 6 games left - meaning an average of 2.5 goals per game to achieve my goal...

HOWEVER!!!! DISASTER STRUCK!!! 3rd minute of the Champions league Semi Final against Manchester, he was hacked out!!!!! Subbed of injured... Full time whistle went, Tranmere winning 5-1... Physio comes up to me in the changing room.... Clough is out... FOR 3 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!! 

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 15 goals short of my target and he is injured for the rest of the season.. with 6 flipping games left!!!

Tough luck. If it's any consolation it's happened to many of us here. It stings but on the bright side you got a decent formation going for your striker.

Btw, you mentioned he'd been called up for England and you could use that to your advantage. How?
