What we have achieved in our few short years together has been extraordinary,Eoin Casey says proudly as we sit down to talk.Today his side RC Portuense face Hapoel Be'er Sheeva in there last champions league group match with qualification through to the last 16 already secured.The fairytale shows no signs of ending.

Last seasons 4th place league finish amazed everybody in the footballing community but not Casey who strives to push this team even further."They are a great bunch of lads many from the area themselves so they know what this means to the town.Everyday on the training ground they are improving.

One of the star performers this season has been Edgar Medina a Spanish 20 year old defender who Casey retrained from a promising right full back into a " Ball Playing" centre back in the mould of Gerard Pique.Many have predicted a call up to the Spanish squad is just around the corner.

 

We will be looking at Eoin Casey's team instructions and formations also we will be profiling Pere Gomez Moreno Portuense's young Spanish goalkeeper many have compared to Manuel Neuer in our next edition.
