Career Cockers attempts - Robbie Keane - 1 Season 30 Goals?

Hi all

I have followed @arobbo92 attempt at signing Robbie Keane for Tottenham and see if he can score 30 goals in 1 Season. Due to the interest and the lack of my attempts at the Uk and Europe Challenge I thought I would give this a go and using spurs as @arobbo92 did.

"Tottenham Hotspur have signed former striker Robbie Keane on a one year deal. The 35 year old joins the club after manager Mauricio Pochettino declared a 'Striker Crisis' on Wednesday".

Can Keane fill in for the clubs injured strikers and provide Spurs with a successful season?

Keane's Targets:

• 30 Goals in all competitions
• At least 9 League Goals (to total 100 League Goals for Spurs)
• Win domestic silverware (BPL, FA Cup or EFL Cup)

So to start we had to get the main man...

K is for King Robbie, the prodical son returns for one last season to bring back the glory days and show these new breed of overpaid whingers how to mix it with the big boys... "Come on Robbie is jeered by the crowd at his unveiling to the club"

His Stats on his return to the club...

Yes he maybe 35 just about to turn 36, but a bit of TLC will get him through this season for his spectacular curtain closer to his long and prosperous career...

So my season has started, friendlies out of the way...

First Home game..

Well the challenge begins and it's a positive start scoring his first goal on his return to the club debut..

Not only did we dominate the game, Robbie bangs a brace, can this season start any better...

Good luck dude, great start but let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet, do @arobbo92 proud on a great 1 season wonder challenge idea! Even if he has to be dragged kicking and screaming over the line ?

Cheers @BatiGoal this is a taster to see if I'm ready to crack the UK or Latin Europe challenge, I think I have gained enough experience hopefully.

Update...

His first game back in the Champions Cup...

Not bad couple to add to his tally...

loaned out Harry Kane as didn't want him getting fed up, this might bite me in the backside trying to win trophies, but he was getting fed up...

Clubs happy so far, let's hope this continues...

It's quiet hard trying to keep him fit enough to compete each game, but they are adding up slowly...

Update...

Got him to 27 goals in 44 games, then...

I think it's all over, maybe, just maybe he has one more game...

What a game to end all efforts, Arsenal has Won the league...

To many draws, defensively we were ok, but those games we couldn't score more even with all the domination is what cost me...

End of season awards, but so what...

Didn't do myself any favours loosing in the cups, and not winning the league, all that remains is can I win against Barcelona and will Keane get one more run out to the roar of the crowds, and a standing ovation that sees another true great bow out with his fantastic career...

Well the curtain has come down on Robbie's fantastic career, we came, we saw, we failed!!!

Half time all looking good...

He's nowhere near fully fit, shouldn't be playing, but...

Robbie is on the field, can he make history...

the game ends 1-0 to Barcelona, oh well he finishes on 27 for the season...

Unlucky mate, incredibly close run. Well done getting to the CL final by the way, great achievement.

So close mate. An extra penalty, a bit of better luck in some games and you're there. Sometimes the margin between winning and losing is so close. Good run nonetheless.

Thanks @mcandrew003 and @BatiGoal I might attempt this again, but look at a better formation to try and protect him a little, I think playing him as a Loan striker (Pcr) isn't the best option as a 35/36 year old, maybe playing him in a 2 or 3 up front formation might give him a better outcome on scoring? possibilities, i might try later, looking at starting the UK challenge again, so this is parked until then.

Yeah, maybe a second striker is a good idea to help his aging legs. Would love to see a second installment of this, I think you could have it in the bag!
