Chat FMM 18 - Wish List

My ideas for 2018 revolve around several key areas. The first are the staff, whom are vastly improved in 2017, however adding more presence and differentiation between them will make them more of a key area in the game and picking your back room staff would be vital. This is so that managing in FMM2018 isn’t just about players but who you choose to trust too. Their feedback will help new and old players alike get pointers in order to be a success allowing the game to ramp up the realism while being accessible for all.

My plans have some loose ends tied up too. For instance several features such as Random Club Picker were in the PSP games but not in the Mobile games. Adding this back in will be beneficial to show the series is moving forward and not losing features. As well as this little tweaks to areas such as changing the amount you can bid for a player, adding in loan interaction and removing clauses that don’t exist to set in the game from player profiles - or making them editable in the case of squad status.

Building on existing features is a large part of the plans. A lot say they want more tactical options after the removal of some roles in 2017. Adding in more roles that are wildly different to what is currently available or common terms in football (Regista), as well as modifying the Trequartista to AMC too would give the player more options but not dilute the tactics to micro-management. As well as this having an Ultra Attacking/Defensive option would be beneficial during a match as well as tempo for when the player is looking to hold onto a lead or chase a game. While these are not currently options in the game they both provide unique ways of reacting in-match.
The staff section also is enhanced with physios and scouts able to progress to the next levels and give more feedback dependent on level. Also players can select from a few of the coach’s preferred roles when they transition them from a player to a coach allowing greater control to mould the backroom staff. With feedback in more areas of the game/more detailed about a wider variety of subjects making the game more accessible and clear.

New features will be introduced too. Team talks done using coaches and a team talk button mirrors the Player Interaction feature introduced in 2017, but with more situations that the game detects and adapts accordingly. This gives the user an option to change results without modifying tactics. The assistant manager will decide in key moments too and give more specific team talks allowing the user to not have to use the Team Talk button for general talks but gives the option to “beat the bullet” in dire circumstances where a sacking is around the corner.
Another is the introduction of expectations per competition and team of the season allowing better beginning and end of the seasons to make the experience from start to finish all about player choices and seeing the influence of them.

Expectations per competition - Can adjust per competition. Board will then respond accordingly

Feedback
             Feedback better based on level - more in depth and reliable when gold and less vague    
              Seasonly coaches say recommendations on strengths and weaknesses. Such as lots of very good strikers, have a young squad with high potential or defensively needs work as there were lots of goals conceded last season.

               Not just 3 recommended players. Say multiple weak positions and give recommendations for each.
              Feedback on transfer live to say if a good deal for club and realistic - Like EHM
Scout/Physio progression 
Can select multiple different specialism from lists for coaches when promoting from player

New Leagues
A few of Russia, China, Argentina, Ukraine, South Korea, Mexico, Brazil or America

National Teams
Ability to clear all call ups

Couple things I'd like to see come for FMH18. 

1. A few more leagues. My votes would be on Denmark. Kazakhstan, Iceland.

2. Best elevens for teams at the end of the season. It's always interesting seeing how the shape and personal evolve through the years.

3. Seeing the coefficient and leagues progress. If someone starts to build up Denmark or Wales it would be nice to see that reflected in coefficient points.

4. A way to select a larger amount of players at once for scouting.

Would like to see more records - all time PL most appearances / top scorers (for example) so there's always drive / motivation in a save to break existing records.

There's honestly a lot I could say about how AI managers could be improved. I'll partially go into it: I'd like for the managers and staff to feel as human as the players - why the same recycled managers in every game save? Why can we not view any important information about any manager? I'd like to see each club a manager has been at, his success there... all these kinda things that really add to the realism. It's all good playing against teams with players that have differing personalities / traits but the management (probably the most important thing considering it's Football Manager) of AIs is void of any personality other than them using a favoured formation. Give AI managers more of a voice... make that rivalry game more important / symbolic. Let us access more information about them and make it seem like I'm playing against other people rather than the same old boring names of which we know nothing about because of the inability to access said relevant information.

As for the leagues I would love to see the MLS. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to include though given their unique league and cup structure. But one can dream..

Choose as many options as you like

Some of my ideas, I know most are probably pie in the sky, just my opinion...opinions are like arseholes, everybody has one, so here goes

1. I would love to see more media involvement in the game, press conferences
2. Focus on manager rivalries i.e. Mourinho v Guardiola
3. Focus on club rivalries, in the run-up to a big game/local derby, the media make a bignthing about it
4. Clubs able to set up affiliations either as a farm club or parent club
5. I would love, where possible to have Reserve Team and a Youth Team for my Fringe/Youth Player, if not as a Reserve/Youth League, then the chance to add friendlies for them to play, which brings us to, with International Youth Tournaments i.e. Euro U-21 Tournament and Olympic Games
6. I would love to choose my own friendlies, like in FM where you can organise Pre-Season Tours and Tournaments
7. Would love to be able to see the clubs finances as happens in FM, I would like being able to see where the clubs money comes from/goes to...Also add a board request asking to build new stadium as well as the expand stadium option
8. More statistics like average attendance
9. I would love to see the Chinese League and/or Indian League as they having been getting top talent from all over(certainly the Chinese have)
10. I would like to see some present league systems expanded i.e. Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland...One I would love is an expansion of the English System, maybe to County Level
11. When searching players, I would love to see a filter to find specific roles i.e. If I want a BBM, I  set the filter to find a BBM instead of trawling through the Transfer List
13. One thing I would love to see is the ability to create our own custom league systems...Something like MyClub, but on a bigger scale for making League Systems/Competitions...

Most of them are probably pie in the sky, but I thought I would put my ideas out there...

More tactical stuff such as choosing whether your players man mark or zonal mark, and set your players to mark a certain player. Also, it would be good to set runs for your players to indicate what direction a specific player runs in.

All of these were on the PSP versions, and were removed for some reason.

Interesting feedback here. There are some things that are obviously not on the cards, such as press conferences (slow down the game too much, limited popularity in the PC game) and creating own league systems (not viable to develop given the size of our team vs the number of people that would use it). Obviously there's a few others mentioned above we probably wouldn't prioritise for similar reasons.

We've pretty much finalised the feature set for FMM18 now, and while there's obviously not everything that everyone would want - or even everything that even one poster would want - I think there'll at least be some things that make people happy.

I would love more immersion. Hyping up a derby, news messages when a record has been broken (international caps, club appearances, goals and assists), end of season reviews.

Also, not sure if this would a small change that could be in this year or something that needs to wait till next year, but 3rd place for awards like World Player of the Year? And also runners-up should be reflected in awards, no?

Things i want in football manager mobile 18

These are my ideas i want in fmm18 after playing Fmh14,15, fmm16,fmm17 there are somethings i'm still bothered about that are incomplete in this game check them out Below 


1)Individual orders,Team orders
2)Press conferences before and after game
3)More tactics like Fm(But just a Little of it)
4)Ability to Arrange friendly matches and receive offers from clubs
5)Ability to Train in Another camp or Country (If possible)
6)Ability to Set ticket prices for fans(Another Area of income)
7)Also Sponsorship
8)Fan clubs and Donations 
9)Social Media

Nice ideas!

I would add several more though:

1. The ability to communicate with the board of directors after you just got yr job just like in FM

2. More leagues! More real players!

3. More realistic scouting!

4. More player roles! Best case is that all of the player roles available in FM is added into the mobile version :) (e.g. Half-back, Libero, Defensive Midfielder, Anchor man,  Regista, roaming playmaker, Enganche, etc.)

5. Ability to control the each player's duties (e.g. attack, defend, support)

2. Definately what I want too, along with manager mind games and focus on club/manager/player rivalries i.e. El Clasico or Pep v Jose etc

What do you mean Social Media? We can already post to twitter from the Game

I would like to see Reserve/Youth Football, more International Tournaments, more in-depth backroom, Parent/Feeder Clubs, Player Role Filters in the Player Search area, so if I need a BBM or a BWM I can specifically search for that.

Some of the more pie in the sky additions would be a stand alone Editor for PC where leagues and competitions could be made from scratch and add-ons to the game where the player can play further down a League System i.e. Down to the English County Leagues.

That being said, I am happy enough with the work SI do already, and appreciate they can only do so much to keep the Handheld/Mobile gaming experience as quick as possible for users and realise they cant keep everybody happy all the time

So I was talking on twitter about my FMM18 save. I am wanting to do a journey man save.

For us to do this they would need more depth in the other leagues not just the main league you load. So you can load all the leagues in the 4 (or more) that you load up at the start.

2. New leagues. The return of a South American country, maybe Argentina or Columbia instead of Brazil?

Some nice ideas. I don't think they can make international management any better. They could add staff and training in but it would still be alot of doing nothing.  Maybe they could add more interaction so you could be questioned more when certain players are playing well, you could be asked if they are in line for a call up.

1. An engine that actually works as expected/described, as I've said before I currently don't believe the EME is the future or future proofed. 

2. More tactical options - More roles, ways to edit the roles jobs/how it's played, ways to influence player traits and more stats/info. 

3. A bug free launch 

No point wishing small ;)

It's why I miss the PSP game as it was more expensive so worth more to SI but also couldn't be patched so they knew the release had to be final/top notch. I hate the fact the game is still being fixed up to 6 months after it came out and most years the released game has been "unplayable" for periods of time at release. 

The cycle just makes the game feel less as half the next year is spent fixing the game they've sold us instead of being spent on the following years game. I genuinely feel like the series takes baby steps and releases unpolished due to the amount of time they have to spend fixing the previous version which turns into a vicious circle you'll never get back on top of. 

Just image what they could do with a full year transfer updates aside focused completely on the up coming release. We constantly hear how small the team is so this team spending so much time having to fix issues on the released game has to have an impact somewhere.

I think more variation when it comes to International Management. Would love to create frendlies, scout my actual players and maybe have an U-21's side? All of these would make the experience so much better.

As for the club side of things, more roles would be better for the game. Maybe better pre and after match analysis, would help people understand why something isn't working.

Hi guys! I was wondering, is it possible to adda feature which allows a hugely successful club that has so much money in its account until you can't even adjust the wage and transfer budget, to buy other clubs or loan them money? Example if Chelsea has so much money that it sees Aston Villa struggling and on the verge of bankruptcy, decides to buy that club or maybe loan them some money. It'll be pretty neat to see that though. Just a suggestion. Thank you.

i was gunna read through all the previous posts and add my ideas but then I got high, I mean bored. 

here is my wish list, nothing too complicated I don't think, end of the day this is still only the mobile version so it can't be too in depth.

1.)  network play. This was on the psp version, you could play single matches via Bluetooth, was good but screw that now, I want full network play like on the pc. On the pc I used to play my mate he was ac Milan and I was inter, we had about 5 seasons, was so good. There is no reason why this wouldn't work on fmm.

2.) January transfer budgets. Same as IRL if you are Chelsea and you spend your transfer budget in pre season, roman should throw another 100m your way. Actually if you are at a club like Chelsea, Man City, PSG or any club that is not self sufficient there should be no budget, it should be unlimited funds and the board just sanctions all transfers. 

3.) agent interaction. Agents are a huge part of football, every player has one. A players agent should be displayed on the players information. You should be able to contact certain agents and see what players they are managing, build up relationships with certain agents. Agents should be contacting you offering certain players and so on. This leads to number 4.

4.) Showdown talks/transfer deadline day. It gets to the last day of the transfer window, you just sold a player and need to replace him quick, yet you can only put in a certain amount of bids before the window closes, why? You should be able to set up a meeting, phone call or whatever with the player/agent/club, grind out a transfer fee and a contract and get it done. Same for any out going transfers. Transfer deadline day is huge IRL but nothing happens on the game. 

5.) developmental team/academy. Scrap the reserve team, there is no such thing in English football anymore. Have a developmental team like IRL where u have all under 21s with a set amount of senior players allowed each game, and have the developmental league so your youngsters are actually playing football. Have a proper academy with proper players and an academy manager and coaches, every season you decide which players get promoted to the senior squad and you can sign kids to the academy. This one might be a bit too much for fmm but would be nice.

6.) ability to watch the game in full instead of just highlights, this might also be too much for fmm.

7.) more tactical control, just as everyone has stated.

Thats all off the top of my head but might think of more. 

Any thoughts on these?

This as well would be very good. In depth Competition and club records, to have a top 10 list of the competition or clubs top scorers, most assists, most appearances. Something to aim at for your young players. 

One more thing, match day sounds. First Si game I got was championship manager 97/98, it had no 2d match engine, just text to read but it had match sounds which made it really good. It sounded like you were sat in the dugout or in the stand of a real game.

You could hear the ball being passed about, players shouting at each other, the crowd chanting, cheering, booing, the lot.

The sound of the ball smacking the bar followed by the crowd groan or the sound of the ball hitting the back of the net with the crowd going nuts added so much to the match day experience. 

Imagine the sound of your fans in full song singing marching on together or whatever they sing when the players are coming out or after you've taken the lead, being cheered or booed off the pitch at the end. 

If you managed in a South American country you had the carnival sounds, fireworks going off and so on, my dog used to go crazy. 

Sounds alone would transform the match day engine.

Thanks for the list! I do have to say number 1 is unlikely to happen in the foreseeable future, would be a massive amount of work and too risky from a business perspective I think.
