Already there,, 19th January 2036 and he's at 1028 Club goals and 39 INT goals so 1067, but I'll run this season out with the Euro's at the end of the summer and leave it there I think, he has signed a 2 year extension, but he can barely find the net now let alone another 2 seasons, but haven't decided yet

Cheers Ash, just trying to chase down 1092 to knock our friend @BatiGoal down a peg on the leaderboard, but Buitink is really starting to struggle, but we'll see, got nothing to do between now and FMM 18 so might as well keep going

Always good to get it over the line. What was your finishing total and I can add you to the leader board?

I was just thinking what I can do to start on FMM18, I like to have a look at the new players available before deciding where to take the plunge.

No I'm just wrapping up the Euro's with Holland and that will do then, his stamina is down to 4 and his pace and strength are 7/8 so I'm not getting any more out of him

Thomas Buitink and the Road to 1K

Season 20 "The End of the Road"

That's right guys this will be my final update to this save, after getting Buitink to the 1000 mark i tried to push him on, but his Physical stats took a huge hit this year and he just couldn't produce the goods, so this is our final season so let's press on

Only two new signings this year in Molina (LB) and Dias (RB) both came straight into the squad 

Horner leaving after repeated injuries and less and less game time

So with a few new additions, we set off to try and make this another great season for the Club, Buitink and Me

Competitions

Domestic

Buitink Starts the season off with a bang netting in the 1st minute of the season opener and then Reine-Adelaide nets twice to gain a measure of revenge on Liverpool after last years FA Cup Final

We also see off Liverpool in the EFL Cup Final

Another year and yet again we smash the 100 Goal/Points mark to win the league yet again

And a very eventful FA Cup final sees us run out 3-0 winners and clinch a domestic quadruple 

Europe

SLB face the wrath of of the Gunners as Buitink and Debu combine to give us a 3-0 win and Arsenal lift the Euro Supercup once more

Forgot to get the screenshot, but we ended the group stage on top once again beating Hoffenheim, A. Madrid and Ferencvaros

we then moved on through the knockout stages, having a bit of a Spanish theme this year

a 3-3 draw in the first game meant the second leg was up for grabs, but a good 3-1 win at home saw us progress past Barcelona 6-4 on agg, then we face the White Side of Madrid in the Quarter Finals

A 2-0 win at home was enough as we draw 1-1 in Spain but progress through to the semi finals 3-1 agg winners, and the Spanish Theme continues as we face Sevilla in the Semi Finals

But sadly there was no more UCL football as a 1-1 draw at home and a 0-0 draw in Spain meant we lost out on away goals and crashed out 1 game shy of the final

CWC

Holland

We cruised through the Euro Qualifiers leaving us top of the group ahead of Poland and Serbia

We reach the Euro Championship finals and are drawn against Croatia, Wales and N. Ireland

A clean sweep of games, saw Holland through to the Knockout stages

A (rare) Buitink Hat-trick saw off Switzerland to progress to the quarter finals

A very late goal was enough to see off Romania (all those shots wasted), but Holland are into the Euro Championship Semi Finals, where the Spanish are waiting for us

Another late goal this time gives us the draw and after no goals in ET, we go to penalties where we edge out the Spanish so make it to the Final to face France

But my own star Player Reine-Adelaide nets a hat-trick to sink our hopes and we come away as Euro Championship runners up

So a mixed bag of a season missing out on the UCL in the Semi Finals and getting crushed in the Euro Championship Final (by one of my own players), but a good end to my career

Thomas Buitink

Now onto the important info How did Buitink fair in what was to be our final season

well he missed some time 

Oh only two weeks, no big deal, oh except that due to his low physical stats this lasted almost a month and a half before he was ready to play again and then he just failed to find the net and needed subbing off at half time most games after this

The team managed ok without him mind

Here is what Buitink looked like after the end of last season

Still excellent mental and skill stats, but his physical is declining, now here's what he looked like after the Euro Championships

5 stamina, pace like my 85 year old Grandfather and the strength of a toddler, his other stats still look good, but he is done and so am I 

here's his final tally

22 Club goals last season and after the Euro Championships he netted 44 INT goals while I was manager

So 

Thomas Buitink (Final Tally)

Games Played: 962 (Club) 46 (INT)

Goals Scored: 1038 (Club) 44 (INT)

Total: 1082

So thats it guys, much better than I had expected after the first 10 season, but Buitink plays a full 20 years under my keen Bunny Eyes and finished the career on 1082 goals, so if I could ask the master of the 1K leaderboard @danovic78 to please add the score to the leaderboard.

Not much for Domestic players, but some huge numbers there over 1200 games played and I lost only 41 games in my entire career, and I can retire as the #1 ranked manager in the world

No Buitink actually signed a new 2 year deal but I just don't have the heart to carry on, he's done me proud and it's time to move on
