Seems I'm back in the career posting industry 

Hello to all of FMM Vibe and welcome to my first career in a while. I will be attempting my own challenge, and one I hope will be very popular on the website, the International 1KC! Before I begin my rambling, I want to say my PL Second Chances career is still ongoing, actually have 2 updates to post so bare with me on that. My writing responsibilities will come first however. 

Anyway, onto the career. The main objective is to hit 1000 goals with a player. To do this, i have to pick a specific striker for each tournament. After I have played that tournament and the friendlies, I must ditch the striker and pick a new one for the new tournament, it's frendlies and qualifiers. My chosen Nation, if you haven't already noticed, is the mighty England. We have a very good selection of striking options, so I feel I'll manage a decent attempt, even if I don't complete the challenge. This update will be split into 2 parts. One for the qualifiers and friendlies, and one for the World Cup itself. Anywho, onto the striker:

Daniel Sturridge

 

Screenshot from midway through, gives you an idea on his goals  Anywho, Daniel has some phenomenal stats and I feel he suits my new tactic well. This is played on OME by the way. His technical attributes are a joy to behold, and should rip apart the weaker defences in the world. 

Qualifiers 1-4, Frendlies 1-2

Not a bad amount of goals. Sturridge started slowly but started getting in amongst the goals during and after the Slovakia. Below are the screenshots of all of his goals in this period:

Not bad. 11 goals from 6 games in this run of fixtures for Studge. If he keeps up this form with games against teams like Malta and Lithuania, and no disrespect to these nations, we'll get a good amount to spring our attempt into life. Not a bad tactic eh? Here are the next few fixtures.

Qualifiers 4-10, Frendlies 3-8

Large amount of games, large amount of goals. 51 goals to be exact. How many goals did Studge get though? I've seen inconsistent Strikers a plenty on Vibe, but can we avoid that on our road to Russia? Below is his goalcount again:

24 goals during this period! That's an insane number in my opinion, very pleased indeed. He also bagged 2 against Mexico, forgot to grab that screenshot unfortunately. We still don't concede either, which is just brilliant. This takes our total up to 35 goals with the actual World Cup to go. Can we break 40? 

 

 

 

Qualify with ease 

The FIFA World Cup

So we embark on our trip to Russia with a clear goal: Break the 40 goal mark. This feat was helped during a pre-tournament freindly:

Anyway, onto the tournament we go, where we dominate our relitavely easy group to get to the next round. 

Here are Daniel's goals:

Just the 4 in the groups, but having already broken 40 we move on to the knockouts, where we progress all the way to the final! Unfortunately, Daniel couldn't hit the net once during this run, so I was hoping he turned up for the big game. In said final, we meet an unexpected opponent in Mexico. How did we fare?

Despite a unexpectedly tight game, we take home the World Cup! And who else but Sturridge to turn up in the final and bang a tasty hat-trick. What an amazing feat as we take our first cup since 66. This means Daniel ended his England career with retirement, having banged in....

44 Goals During The World Cup Period

WOW! Was personally not expecting this many, but it seems this monster tactic has brought me some success. I think this is a great start, was only aiming for 30 or so but 44 is a good number to begin with. Here is Sturridge before his International dismissal:

Really good start. Looks like a fun challenge. Hope the next striker does just as well. Next striker maybe Rooney before he retires?

Thanks! Was very fun to play to be fair, I thinks it's mainly because I smashed most teams but still fun. Rooney is a decent shout, not gone with him though. I'll give a hint, it's someone similar to Sturridge. 

International League is harder, so didn't want to choose my top Strikers.

Great little challenge there dude, for the Int division I'd go with a less used striker someone in the vain of Southampton's Jay Rodriguez, used him a few times a couple years back and he can bang them in with the right setup

Sturridge joins Geoff Hurst as the only scorer of a hat trick in a world cup final... Great stuff.

 

Lots of youngsters in your squad too. I bet it'll be Welbeck next.

Not Defoe either, another good shout though.

Thanks Taff! Never used Jay I don't think, not sure why to be honest. My striker made a move to a fellow EPL club last year, that's all I'll say.

He does indeed, he chose his moment to turn up for sure 

Again, not a bad shout but not correct. Can't stand old squads, think my oldest player is the 30 Year Old Shawcoss. I pick all players on form apart from my wingers, I only pick wingers who don't have the 'Cuts Inside' trait. 

Wanted to say, appreciate all the comments. Was great to come back and read these, thanks a lot!

Not Sterling either dude, purposely left my striker out of that Tactic screenshot. 

My striker scored his first goal for his club in a friendly a few days ago....

Still a good return, I managed 39 goals in 10 qualifying games, should have got more though.

mcandrew003's International 1KC!

European International League

Bonjour and welcome to Update 2 of my International 1KC. I've actually played ahead to the 2020 European Championships, but we'll cover the grand International League first. This is a rather short update, considering there were just 6 games in our calendar. 

So, as @samhardy rightly guessed we took the mighty Saido Berahino and hoped to score at least 10 goals here to improve our already impressive start. Here is how he looks after his big money move to Manchester City....

Not bad, not bad at all. Similar player to Sturridge in my opinion, hence why I picked him. Anyway, let's see how we did in the group:

Heartbreak! We finish second after a dissapointing loss to Croatia, who were relegated. Just 5 scored aswell. Hopefully, Berahino buried most of them and hit some goals in the friendlies. Let's see how he did....

He smashed 6 in the 2 Frendlies we played. He also scored 2 vs Croatia in the first group game, but failed to hit any more. Sorry, forgot to screenshot the games. Here is our fixture list for this short run of games:

So, bit dissapointed but can't complain, we were up against tough opposition. Here is what our score looks like now:

2018 World Cup - Daniel Sturridge - 44 Goals

2018 European International League - Saido Berahino - 7 Goals

2020 European Championships - ? - ?

Total - 51 Goals

That was a tricky set of fixtures for Berahino to shine in. 7 goals from 6 games, but 3 of those games were France and Argentina...

Next up, Kane? Although he doesn't really fit your "type"...

Was indeed, didn't anticipate just how tough that tournament is. 

My type isn't set yet, you'll be suprised when you see my striker. Not Kane though. Thanks for the comment!

It's a new challenge I created, thread should be on the first or second page. To be honest, I, not sure how possible 1000 is, maybe 500 was a more realistic target. Oh well, who doesn't love a challenge?

Thanks Taff, was tough indeed but I feel he did well. Wish I'd have saved him for a bigger tournament though.

2020 European Championships

Hello once again and welcome to the third instalment of my attempt at this near impossible challenge. In this update, we take on an abundance of teams in our run up to and in the actual European Championships. So, let's introduce the striker first:

Super Danny Ings! Our second Liverpool striker of the career, he seemed the best option as I wait for Rashford and Kane to hit their peaks and some promising regens to come through, at 27 he is the best he will ever be so why not use him? Let's see what he could do in a relitavely straight forward group.

Hmmm. We didn't lose, but only scored 29, which is 10 less than the World Cup qualifying. Can't complain though, a good Campaign and leaves us postively heading to the Euro's. How did Danny do though?

Not sure how I feel about that run. 14 goals is a good total, especially when you consider he was injured for games against Gibraltar and co....

But I can't complain. Ings did his job, let's see what he does in the Euro's. 

A word about this. I originally got drawn a different group, but I skipped past the selection accidentally and my assistant didn't pick Ings for the tournament, so had to go back to my last save date, and got a different group. Hope nobody counts this as cheating. Anywho, we progress with a steady set of results, and Danny hit a few:

Beaten in the Semi's! Heartbreaking, especially as we smashed the Italians really. We end the tournament with 19 goals from Ings, very dissapointing but I can assure it gets better

Total - 81 Goals

Had a good look, took me a bit to decide but his Shooting stole it for me. Will have to look harder as I'm running out of quality Strikers
