Had a good look, took me a bit to decide but his Shooting stole it for me. Will have to look harder as I'm running out of quality Strikers

Thanks mate, my style is changing a lot to be honest. My next striker will surprise you all ;) Who do you think it will be?

I suggest you try Welbeck and perhaps Abraham ( if he improves enough in your save )
Jay Rodriguez and Callum Wilson could also be a possibility.

Seems we have a similar mindset dude. Haven't picked one of those, but considered Welbeck and Wilson. Nice shouts though.

At least give us a clue ?

Shocked with the decision to use ings, turns out his injury proneness bit you in the backside as the Gibraltar could have easily seen him bag a hat trick

Played in League 1 a few years ago, now plays down South....

Yeah, really annoyed me. Gibraltar and Slovenia I think it was, not sure though. Let's hope the Confederation Cup and the next INT League brings some success.

 It's not unfortunately, although I'm keeping my eye on him for the future. He scored against United in the cup a few years ago....

Highly recommended! Not sure why more people don't use him! ?

BTW, I have this open in a tab, but haven't had time to read it through yet. Sorry - but will get to it sometime!

No worries at all dude, no need to apologise. Appreciate you wanting to read, hope you enjoy :D

mcandrew003's International 1KC!

European International League 2020/21

Seeing as I'm on holiday tommorow and you are all clueless as to who my chosen striker is, I'll post another update. I've got 5 to post, and by the time I'm back I'll have finished the career ;) Anyway, we go into the EIL hoping for about 7, which is what Berahino hit last time out. Let's see who I picked then....

IMG_8422.thumb.PNG.36365b826308c3c3e41addb9a9a28c25.PNG

Benik Afobe! Bit of a weird one, I know, but look at his physicals and that Dribbling and Shooting! Aswell as this, we were in a 'easier' group so I decided I didn't want to waste a decent striker. Let's see how we did in our 4 games of the tournament.

IMG_8426.thumb.PNG.b80613887ac9181c7e30b6f68af72edf.PNG

Relatively easy, although there were no outstanding games. However, we progress onto the Semi's. How many could Afobe grab?

Spoiler

IMG_8423.thumb.PNG.5d8b9467e15b5fc2771e6fddc7977772.PNGIMG_8425.thumb.PNG.09e9cddc8b5ace977ea6ebab7366f3e9.PNGIMG_8424.thumb.PNG.f472a0c9aec2ef85a7fe279101ab2f99.PNG

5 in 4 for our main man with 2 games to go. If we can beat Berahino's total, that would be great. We faced the Italians in the next round, where he grabbed....

IMG_8437.thumb.PNG.e1d879dd7d28e595db78f51fea924c3f.PNG

Another 2! This takes us into the final, where we are to face the mighty Spain. Could we clinch the title?

IMG_8446.thumb.PNG.db040dd33743a982c942ef7985d73ca6.PNG

Yes. We. Could! Afobe grabs his 8th of the competition after Bartra gave away a penalty, and we win our second piece of silverware as England boss. Not bad Afobe, not bad.

Here is what our score looks like:

World Cup 2018 - Daniel Sturridge - 44 Goals

European International League 2018/19 - Saido Berahino - 7 Goals

European Championships 2020 - Danny Ings - 19 Goals

European International League 2020/21 - Benik Afobe - 8 Goals

Total: 78 Goals

Not too bad, let's hope we can hit a good few in the Confedirations Cup. Thanks for reading, who will be next do you think? Cheers!

Very good choice mate! Always liked afobe tbh, I'm guessing his Bournemouth counterpart Wilson?

He was surprisingly on the 4th or so page, not sure why as he is a beast. Kind of wish I'd saved him now, although in 2025 (Where I am in real time) there are some VERY good regens, so he may not have got a place. Wilson's a good shout, not him though. My hint is, he's been suggested before....

Gotta be Welbs then surely, no way you'd use Abraham so soon before he's at his peak

He's cracked it already! Nice one mate, Welbeck it is. Unfortunately, youll all have to wait a week before you see how he did, unless you all want an update tonight....

What's Jack Wilshere doing in your team??? lol Doing great, mate. KIU!

He's a beast! Especially as Alli is doing awful and has been loaned out to QPR of all places. I also pick on form, so that's why ;)

Cheers mate, the next few are much better but can't post them until next week. Keep you all waiting.

mcandrew003's International 1KC!

FIFA World Cup 2022

Hello and welcome to the next instalment of my International 1KC attempt. I'm not sure which update this is, but now that I'm back from my gruelling 7 hour train journey I suppose it's time to let you all know what happened this year. The big question, however, is who will be my main man for this next International Tournament?

IMG_8407.thumb.PNG.4219513432d060b2a0a24b2041076d42.PNG

The Hurrikane of course! At 26 I doubt he will get too much better than he already is, and with him ripping up the Liga BBVA, it's time he gets his shot on the International Front. How could he do in the 10 qualifying games we were given?

Qualifying Games 1-4:

Spoiler

IMG_8432.thumb.PNG.7a9de63d13fb12b7b2ab4809146b2a6e.PNGIMG_8433.thumb.PNG.1a7bc14961c63ef553d33a18f6d9d871.PNGIMG_8434.thumb.PNG.77a83cfb7b068ad6e13cbbd8e42abdaa.PNGIMG_8435.thumb.PNG.ffae18a92a8c0bc043a25bf4817281e7.PNG

Harry come on now, that's just disgusting. 17 goals in 4 qualifying games means he has already beat Ings and can easily hit a massive target. How did he do for the other games though? Could he build on this form?

IMG_8436.thumb.PNG.cd837b3309a5a571b15c08ff44f5553f.PNG

Not too bad....

Qualifying Games 4-10:

Spoiler

IMG_8452.thumb.PNG.fec87a5fd58f9cbf5bd1af3139111624.PNGIMG_8455.thumb.PNG.af7bd94e8dc8efda67caae3565d3f8cc.PNGIMG_8457.thumb.PNG.f9358a0e8c8284c9f909e6967e79ddfe.PNGIMG_8459.thumb.PNG.4d80cafc994e70e2cd2d35be278815e2.PNGIMG_8460.thumb.PNG.ec0252f32bfd0daa6a6ef633eb875558.PNG

IMG_8461.thumb.PNG.695fbd63a92dec1e6e83a5ddd4981904.PNG68 goals ;) I seem to have misplaced that last screenshot. We beat Armenia 4-0 again anyway, can't remember how many Kane got though. Anyway, we smashed another 17 goals in the remaining 6 games to take our qualifying total to a grand 34! This means he could potentially achieve the best score yet if he can have a stellar tournament. Let's see how he does in the group....

IMG_8465.thumb.PNG.db1818a509ddf6e518d176e7a7847568.PNG

Goal number 35 ;)

World Cup Group B 1-3:

Spoiler

 IMG_8466.thumb.PNG.88a9520708d802ea8e20f5950eb8babd.PNGIMG_8467.thumb.PNG.a65a7e60f694da180fb4575f2bf9f58d.PNG

Kane manages 5 goals in the group stage, taking his total to 40 goals. Don't think he'll hit a Sturridge total, but we'll see. Onto the knockouts!

IMG_8468.thumb.PNG.d68f8199a6c12fae8bde2840dfee7af0.PNG

Steady going.

IMG_8469.thumb.PNG.5f2bd466fb532e1ea93d66cfee8944d7.PNG

Comfortable to say the least, goal 41 :D

IMG_8471.thumb.PNG.1d00a846c8b4d9aaa49200e50900a783.PNG

:S Won't be the first of Argentina you see, trust me. We suffer an early exit from the the competition despite a fairly comfortable hold on the game, oh well. How many did Kane get overall then?

Harry Kane - 42 Goals

Gonna take a wild guess and say he buried one against Armenia in that fixture we missed. A good total means we take a step closer too 1000, but still far, far away....

World Cup 2018 - Daniel Sturridge - 44 Goals

European International League 2018/19 - Saido Berahino - 7 Goals

European Championships 2020 - Danny Ings - 19 Goals

European International League 2020/21 - Benik Afobe - 8 Goals

World Cup 2022 - Harry Kane - 42 Goals

Total - 120 Goals

Going steady, let's hope for some big totals in the coming tournaments. Thanks for reading, and feel free to comment your thoughts, feelings and anything else. Cheers!

Bloody great run from The Kane. Shame you can use him no more :) hope the next one does half as good.

Thanks mate, he was super impressive if I'm being honest. Might use him again in another's challenge, let's hope we can continue this vain of form.

mcandrew003's International 1KC!

Confederations Cup

Hi and welcome to the next update in my attempt at the International 1KC. The last update didn't get much attention, hoping that you are all still interested and willing to give this a read and comment. Anyway, enough of my moaning, let's see who I picked for the Confederations Cup, and as @Mr.Manager rightly guessed, its....

IMG_8445.thumb.PNG.8b23d1513a6ed51878b00ea72e7f9925.PNG

Some awesome stats there, I'm hoping for around 10 from Welbeck in this tournament. Onto the group games!

Spoiler

IMG_8439.thumb.PNG.217c9d2f378e2a9832b5d79ae269c682.PNGIMG_8440.thumb.PNG.ba6b16e53aa9456898341d65442cba3d.PNGIMG_8441.thumb.PNG.aef1f2b44de783a2c79525074368c60d.PNG

8 goals! Fantastic count for the main man, just need 2 more to hit the golden target.

IMG_8442.thumb.PNG.47f7068f5060d5a759e719ef79a5a072.PNG

Not a hard group by any means.

IMG_8443.thumb.PNG.c034a1f407c0e3aa306a6bf5dc4535d8.PNG

Ah no! We lose in the final to the Spaniards, and Welbeck doesn't score any more and ends on 8.

FIFA World Cup 2018 - Daniel Sturridge - 44 Goals

European International League 2018/19 - Saido Berahino - 7 Goals

European Championships 2020 - Danny Ings - 19 Goals

European International League 2020/21 - Benik Afobe - 8 Goals

World Cup 2022 - Harry Kane - 42 Goals

Confederations Cup 2022 - Danny Welbeck - 8 Goals

Total: 128 Goals

Not a horrible return, let's hope we can push on for the next tournament. Thanks for reading, and please remember to comment!

What a fantastic return from Kane mate, definitely caught him in a purple patch of form!

Not gonna lie I expected welbeck to do better than he did, don't get me wrong, 8 in 3 in the groups was brilliant but to not score since was very poor from the lad!

Thanks Risheek, I'm happy with the progress so far but we desperately need to hit some big totals from now forward.

Kane was spectacular mate, want to do a 200 International Goals challenge with him in the future as he is just immense. Really happy with his form, let's hope we get some regents like him.

Welbeck started brightly but died off, not sure why but that's a theme in a lot of tournaments, as it happened with Sturridge aswell. Ah well, we still have plenty of time to hit the required target so it's all good! Thanks for the comment.
