How unfortunate ending up 3rd in that CL group. Altho it could be a blessing moving on into the EL where goals are perhaps slightly easier to come by, and that's all that matters for you in this challenge. Looking great so far!

Season 5

With Part 2 of the challenge completed I could look for a new job and to recruit some new strikers.
The countries I would need to use were - 

Southern Europe

Greece
Bulgaria
Albania
Montenegro 
Turkey

With not much happening on the manager front in the pre-season I had to stay with Feyenoord and hope for a few early sackings!

Dutch Super Cup
Another super Cup in the bag as we stroll past Ajax.

We then get our break...off to France...and...

So with a few months till the January transfer window opened I was on the lookout for my new strike force but the options were very limited indeed. All the big names were out of budget and did not want to come so I have to look at some new young talent.

Transfers In
Wow, what a mess this squad was in when I took over. Completely unbalanced and a lack of depth so I just needed to get some bodies in and quick! Delighted to get Keane and Tousart for no money at all.

Transfers Out
Although Karamoh was bought in by my predessor I needed to raise fund so off he went.

Coupe de la Ligue
Despite a Bulut double we bow out to Bordeaux. Crivelli always scores against me, no-one can seem to mark him! 

French Cup
What? Bordeaux again....come one! 

EURO Cup
Tough against Man City in the Semi Final but had plenty of chances in both games but my finishing let me down.

Ligue 1
So we rallied really well from starting in 12th place to get a place in Europe by finishing forth.

Yearly Awards
Surprisingly Neal Maupay takes the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award despite not playing much when I took over.

Bulut completes a good six months by grabbing the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year Award.

After moving my manager rank has vanished so I need to bring a few trophies home in order to boost that up when I look to move on in a couple of seasons, hopefully.

Player Stats
So Bulut settled in really well and hit 22 goals from January on wards so he is halfway there to his target already but Petkov really struggled and it didn't help that he was injured a lot too and only managed 4 goals. I was also reunited with Jørgensen, who I sold to Saint-Etienne although he was on 55k per week and draining my wage budget!

Season 6

So can we finish off this challenge in just one more season, Petkov really needs to be hitting the back of the net each week to grab the 36 goals that he needs.

Transfers In
So we set about trying to boost the back line and bought in a whole new back four. Sylla is a great left back that really trains well with IT. I was reunited with Kongolo too. Walter on a free helped boost the midfield.

Transfers Out
Just getting rid of the dead weight to try and raise some funds.

Coupe de la Ligue
A Bulut helps us lift the trophy against Nantes.

French Cup
Tight final as PSG just edge us out.

EURO Cup
So we manage to go one better and reach the final and edge past Spurs despite going behind early on.

Ligue 1
Despite a big number of defeats we lift the league title.

Yearly Awards
Again Neal Maupay takes the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award despite not being first choice.

Bulut retains the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year Award.

Manager Stats
So we pull off a treble in my first full season in France including success in Europe.

Player Stats
With a great season all round my boys finished with identical records both with 38 goals scored to ease past the 40 mark and complete the challenge. Maupay again was a superb back up striker.

Well done mate, great stuff! That Maupay looks like an interesting player, might give him a whirl sometime. Not sure I'd tolerate him stealing Bulut and Petkov's limelight though! ?

Thanks Bati, I am working on another trilogy of challenges, based on the points system that we use in the CC. I have two nailed down but unsure of the third one as yet but might wait until 18 to post them.

Sorry for the delay mate, I've been swamped of late and so far behind in too many careers! Just caught up though and wonderfully done! You've made me consider the challenge for next year as its short and fun which is what I like  

As for that striker that's some memory you have if it is indeed me you're thinking of! I had a failed 1kc attempt with him back in 2014 I think with Rangers in the bottom division. If memory serves me right a contract/transfer bug killed the attempt.

Yeah, it is a great short challenge, although using those obscure countries mean you are almost forced to use regens as the players aren't in great numbers and if you are not at a big club you will not be able to afford the top players.

I thought it was you, I did have to google it! He was outstanding in this challenge and defiantly worth another go if he is at the same level in 18.
