Thx I already did 2nd first season so looking for 1 or bust ... Odd the year I go after Barcelona it seeems Real and A.Madrid are stronger than Barcelona as it dampens the early Cup win vs Barca....

J.Ward Prowse only key addition in January window as rest of signings were Bosman future transfers. I had players listed for transfer but zero offers and only player leaving is L.Haruna who signed Bosman with Leverkusen.

Well looks like another year missing out on league title .. looks like I'm locked into 3-4th spot so I started to play reserves/younger players to see what they can do for next season as there are a few players in 28-29 yr old range I need to dump to stay under 30 yr old and keep it a youth movement.. odd thing happened in Europe by Quarter finals I was the only Spanish team left in either competitions usually it's like 2-3 other teams from Spain.. 

The only silverware will be from Europe or Spanish cup this year ..idk seems like you can't win a Spanish league unless you use 30yr+ and spend over $20m per player my two main house rules for this career. I'm keep trying to upgrade all facilities and stadium to max and if still can't win by then idk if need to drop the staying under $20m per player ....

Season 3 Recap :

 

Silverware Finally as we got 2/4 trophies we had a chance at. Started season with the Spanish Super Cup then ended the season with winning European Cup. There was heartbreak in between in the Spanish Cup Final losing 1-0 to Sevilla finishing runners up for the 2nd straight season. We finished the league in 4th meaning we qualify again for Europe. We do not qualify for Spanish Super Cup to defend but we qualified for the European Super Cup to play EURO Cup winner Leverkusen...

3 Year Review : Riddick Reign So Far 

- Well I ask the fans how has my 3 years have been? Have I not won many games, had the club in top 4 every year, spent wisely not paying outrageous sums for players, and brought you silverware ??? Are you not amused by our stadium, academy, and facilities improvements? I will let my records show below and let the masses decide if it is good enough .....

Year 4

Huge jump in transfer Budget after we won in Europe, the economic windfall was passed on to the budgets.. I will need to adjust my tactics for league matches as we should be able to compete for the league title now but we haven't given a challenge yet .. 

 

Transfers are becoming harder with England leaving the EU as players need permits to play in Spain if they are U.K. players. Had one transfer cancelled already as permit was denied. 

 

Competitions Year 4: (5)

-This year we enter the European Super Cup for winning the European Champions Cup and the other first is the Club World Cup. It is a great show of our progress on the international stage as we now have 5 chances at silverware. This year I'm going to concentrate on competitions we haven't won yet especially LaLiga.. The season kicks off with European Super Cup so here we go......

Started off Europe pretty bad losing to Moscow but pulled it together and finished the group runner up on tie breakers with Arsenal...We face Juventus in the knockout round and first leg at home did well to earn a 0-0 draw with next leg away upcoming ...

Villarreal spread too thin and couldn't match Real Madrids depth in the Super Cup with a race in LaLiga and European dreams still alive..

Villarreal keep the pressure on Barcelona in LaLiga while also defending European Champions Cup title. The LaLiga race is heating up and hasn't been this close in years. Can Villarreal really come thru on Manager Riddicks declaration to finally beat Barcelona to the LaLiga title so soon???

Villarreal Stumble and Barcelona Wins Again..

Coach Riddick was caught between feeling proud of his team yet also frustrated as they were so close to finally unseating the Barcelona/Real Madrid stranglehold LaLiga has been under. If you said that your team would only lose 2 games in LaLiga I would have bet the house that we were winners yet that wasn't even enough. Only 2 more in goal difference wasn't enough .. League Leaders in Goals and Assists wasn't enough. The awards weren't enough with Young Player of the Year, Player and Manager of Year runner ups wasn't enough. That was the best season of Riddicks 4 years so far and it seems a bit harsh they were still 3 points behind Barcelona at the end of the season. Europe wasn't much better but making the semi finals was a decent finish. All in all there's no way any fan could complain about the domestic performance and they did bring home silverware winning the Club World Championship..

Too bad we have so much money but my house rule is under $20m a player max . Game seems to be pushing me to spend more as money just sits there but we will push on ..

Can't believe losing 2 games still wasn't enough to win the league, but the team are getting there and I commend you on sticking to your £20M ceiling for buying players, but that's going to get harder and harder each year as you try and compete with Barca and Real spending twice that on backup players

I'm still following but been finding some of the recent posts a little lengthy, and since there have been several very similar seasons, with little improvement, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't losing interest. Perhaps a lack of replies is to be expected at this time in the game's life cycle though, I think most people are just ready for FMM18 now.
