Changed my mind and if their is still places I would love to be involved at least until I go out in first group stage:D I don't know what countries are left so just randomly pick one for me.

Great! Huge welcome mate, glad to have you. I've given you Cuba, hope that's ok.

2 remaining places!

Vibe Olympics Run-Down and Group Stage 1 Draw

Hello to all of our 20 participants and welcome to the biggest, best Vibe Olympics yet! After a highly successful first tournament in which Welsh Champion @Taff took the Olympic title. This time round, we have managed to attract New and old members, with a lot of new faces including the notorious Dutch Zoodweller @PriZe, whilst former Olympic participants like @FuddledFox and @chewkaiwen have returned for another run at Olympic gold. Either way, we are happy to have each and every one of you, and hope you are as excited as we are for the start of these championships!

Potential Favourites

Something we didn't do last year was highlight any potential favourites, and to be honest it's quite hard to with all the fantastic members taking part! We could well see, however, members such as @PriZe and @Mr.Manager challenging for Gold alongside current champion @Taff, but with every participant equally able it will come down to the luck of the draw! (Which, funnily enough, happens in a second!)

Timelines

You will have 5 days to submit your results to me after the challenge has been announced. I feel this is fair considering it's only 16 games. Of course, we can make exceptions for certain circumstances. Failure to meet these deadlines will result in you having a score of 0 and being eliminated from the Vibe Olympics.

Group Stage 1 Draw

Using a special piece of online technology, I am able to bring you the completely randomised groups for Round 1 of the Vibe Olympics! Remember, only one of the 4 participants in each group will be eliminated in Round 1 before the groups are completely redrawn and the point difference will be tighter! Without any further stoppages, here are the groups!

Group A

1. Real_Random - Australia

2. mcandrew003 - Hungary

3. PainfulBiscuits - France

4. FuddledFox - Cuba

The host, mcandrew003, is drawn in with last year's Silver Medalist @Real_Random in a extremely tight group! The Australian will be looking to breeze this group and is definitely considered the favourite, but the race for second place is tight with @FuddledFox submitting some decent scores last time round and having Olympic experience, and @PainfulBiscuits being a dark horse with no major careers on Vibe but backs himself in the tournament against the biggest and best. Mcandrew003's EME struggle may see him drop out early!

Group B

1. Cockers2505 - Great Britain

2. PriZe - Netherlands

3.  Auronjashanica - Canada

4. Chewkaiwen - Japan

Another fairly tight group with former Challenge Cup winner @PriZe drawn in with career specialist @Cockers2505! @chewkaiwen may however, put up a strong fight for survival after a fairly respectful first Vibe Olympics, in which he did hit the podium once. The favourite for the group has to be everybodies favourite Panda though, but the distraction of his current 2KC could see one of the other talented challengers grasp the top spot. @auronjashanica will be looking to spring a few surprises in this tournament, and could well take second place if one of the others slip up. This will be an exciting group to watch!

Group C

1. Krenzar - USA

2. Laurie_King - Russia

3. Kun Aguero - South Korea

4. Risheek - Brazil

This may be the tightest group yet! @Risheek, who is turning out for the Samba Nation of Brazil may see an oppertunity to showcase his skills early on here, and after his hugely successful year of careers, including a 1KC, he may well storm this group. However, @Kun Aguero, who is the master of the Interactive Experience and not too bad at the game either, will provide an extremely tough challenge for the top spot, but must be careful with @Krenzar and @laurie_king chasing him down to take the second and third spots. The race for second place will be massively entertaining to watch, and we can only wait and see who ends up where in such a tight group!

Group D

1. Salohcin - China

2. Lee3105 - Jamaica

3. Harish - Italy

4. Taff (C) - New Zealand

And the champion arrives! @Taff has been drawn in, at least in his eyes, a favourable group here, and with the confidence of being Olympic champion we could well see a strong performance! However, @Harish is known to be decent at the game and his careers this year are proof of that, but will the Welshman be too strong for him? It would be unfair to write off the other 2 competitors, with @salohcin always around the forums and may have picked up a few tips and tricks to massively aid his Olympic performance, which could well see him Challenging for a place in the top 2! @Lee3105 hasn't been on Vibe too long, but that makes him all the more a dark horse! We know he'll battle hard to stay in the competition so the other three must watch out or risk bowing out!

Group E

1. Mr.Manager - Germany

2. AzmiG26 - Spain

3. Damilare - Nigeria

4. Tlund1991 - Croatia

Imagine this group in a World Cup! Forget anything I said before, THIS is the tightest group! @Mr.Manager has been a career genius this year, completing an array of club based challenges and achieving some near-impossible things on the game. However, we haven't seen much with player-based careers on his part, and other members such as @AzmiG26 and @Damilare will sure see this as a massive opportunity. These two evenly matched players will battle extremely strongly to take the second or even top spot, and what an interesting battle it will be! @Tlund1991 is not to be underestimated though, and could well snatch third or second place with a strong performance!

Right, so they are the groups you will be in for Round 1 of the new and improved Vibe Olympics! The challenge will be announced later tonight, so make sure to keep an eye out for that. Also, follow the thread for announcements and reveals.

How do you feel about your groups? Who is the favourite in your opinion? Any comments for your competitors? Make sure to read about the structure on page 2, and thanks for reading! With this post, Vibe Olympics V.2 is officially underway!

Brilliant stuff!

Tough group I've been drawn in - @AzmiG26 is smashing his 1k challenge and @Damilare is a Challenge Cup quarter finalist. @Tlund1991 has the element of surprise. And I'm rubbish at player challenges. Can see me getting dumped out early...

Good to know you know my past fmm 17... So be prepared for a tough task because I won't take it easy after my loss to BatiGoal in the challenge cup......

Tough tough group. You can never underestimate a challenge cup winner, there's a reason why they are the winner and not a loser.

And a quick look at @Cockers2505 profile shows me plenty of 1kC which just tells me I'm in for a tough fight!

Don't wanna rule out the underdog either, just because he doesn't post any of his games doesn't mean he is no good!

Shaping up to be really interesting indeed!

Having the champ in my group certainly makes it alot more interesting but just a warning, @Taff@Harish @Lee3105 do expect a fight from the underdog right here!

I'm just hoping myself and my Jamaican team don't embarrass ourselves to much, but we all remember the bob sleigh team!

Looking good but after a complete disaster in my CC semifinal, and a 1k that's going nowhere fast my confidence isn't the highest at the moment.

But I won the previous Olympic Games without a single gold to my name so you never know
