Chat Passing styles

Can someone explain direct passing? I have always thought it meant through balls and long passing but seeing as the game has another option for long passing in it, im not 100% sure of what direct passing is.

I’m pretty certain that if you have direct passing on then your team will try and move the ball up the field as quickly as possible. Have a look at the tactic guide that’s pinned on the site. It has everything you need on there

I always understood direct passing to be getting the ball into attacking positions as quick as possible as @NucleusNT just said
