On a side note I love your background as well, something about Goodison makes it one of my favourite stadiums I've been to. Will be a shame when the day comes for Everton to move grounds.

Thanks, I think that Holland is perfect league for him.

Good spot! Yeah, the old lady will be missed but you have to move forwards as a club to boost the revenue although the costs for the new place were going north of £500m! 

Soundslike Wembley all over again. Over budget!

Season 10

So I head into season 10 with Freddy still refusing to throw the towel in on his career.

Transfers In
Bringing Bazoer back to the club was the biggest outlay along with a couple of full backs. Martinez was bought at the end of the season to boost the frontline.

Transfers Out
So once again we lost Berbartovs regen after having his turned and wanted out!
Bad management from me to lose Grujic and Llorente on a free as I let their contracts run down.

Dutch Super Cup
Poor show in the season opener as we crash to a penalty shoot out defeat to Feyenoord.

Champions League
Real just outclass us in the first round knockout.


Dutch Cup
PSV give us a lesson in finishing in the Quarter Final.

Eredivisie
Another title win but struggled with too many draws.

Team Stats
Once more goals were hard to come by. Tammy has a late season flourish to pick up the top scorer award, just ahead of Freddy. Not much else going on. Poor showing.

Awards
Ze Gomes takes the Portuguese Player of the Year Award.

Eredivisie Golden Boot
Vlasic grabs this years best player award.

About time my genius was recognized!

Just the league to add into the cabinet after a poor season.

Freddy Adu

Even at 37 he is still the best player from the US! 

Freddy picked up from last season to put in some good performaces in a dissapointing season club wise. He managed 17 goals and 10 assists to boost his score.

Even better, we managed to get another two years from him! Two More Years!!

What can I say, he decided to enjoy training after moaning every season!!

Yeah, needed an experienced head back in there. Its been a tough career at Ajax, very much like real life when my players are doing well they get their heads turned and want to leave and everyone hates them! Its been tough keeping the squad harmony.

Aren’t you able to give him a 5 year contract, when I play with older players they will happily sign up for 5 extra years.

I did try but 2 years was the longest he would go for.

Oh, very unlucky, I’ve had players of 35+ who happily sign up for 5 years, great results though, hopefully he just keeps signing those contracts

Yeah, I just kept offering a 5 year then 4, then 3 until signed a 2 year deal.

I've had to get him to reconsider retirement three times!

Season 11

Fresh from a new two year deal, Freddy is fast approaching the big 40, what has he go left in the tank? 

Transfers In

Big investmet for me here to boost my aging squad with all areas being covered.

Transfers Out

Martinez has his head turned by some big clubs and reluctantly I had to sell.

Dutch Super Cup

We open the season with a tight win over AZ in the Super Cup

Champions League

Another tight defeat as Milan defeat us in the Quarter Final.

Dutch Cup

Ze Gomes the difference as we lift the cup against FC Utrecht.

Eredivisie

Another tactical change paid off as we dominate the league.

Team Stats

Sadly losing Martinez towards the end of the season was a blow but our strikers were in great form this season and my youth prospect Vlemmings stood in well for Adu.

Awards

Ze Gomes retains the Portuguese Player of the Year Award.

Vlemmings form helps him secure the Golden Boot this season.

Martinez form for me sees him included in the World Best XI.

Manager Stats

Decent season with a domestic treble to add to the trophy cabinet.

Big blow as Freddy is ruled out for 3 months 

Bad season from Adu after being ruled out for 3 months he was restricted to just 18 games all season and scored 8 and assisted just twice. 

He tries to retire again but with an arm round the shoulder he signs on until he is 40!

Thanks. I will admit I have been pretty lucky with injuries as Freddy hasn't had a serious injury until now. Still two more years to go...maybe more!

Whatever happens beyond this point, Adu's career is a major success  would love to see him get the cherry with 100+ assist as well tho.
