Career FF attempts The Three Wise Men Challenge

I really enjoy a one season challenge as you can rip through them in a couple of evenings. This is why I had to give this festive offering from @Ashez a go. You can find all the rules here. So far we have seen @Tinsel Taff complete the challenge with a score of 118 and @Jinglebells PriZe has an attempt underway at the moment. I'm sure we will see more attempts over the holiday season and this is my effort at getting on the leaderboard.

I decided to stay at Manchester City as they have a good squad, a great budget and Jesus is already on the books so I didn't need to buy him.

So who are going to be my three wise men? With all Manchester City's top players it made sense to use lads that where already at the club. 

Bernardo Silva

A top player and very versatile as he can play anywhere in the attacking midfield strata.

Leroy Sane

Bernardo isn't slow but he isn't in the same league as Sane speed wise. His teamwork, passing and creativity aren't the best but I wanted at least one speed merchant in my trio as that pace and dribbling ability can hopefully carve teams open and create openings for other players.

Kevin De Bruyne

This was a real no brainer with his 18 passing and 19 decisions he should be an assists machine, although only having 13 teamwork isn't ideal. I also like the fact he is comfortable on both feet as that gives me more options where I play him and more passing options for him on the pitch.  

Transfers

I focused on improving the size of City's squad as despite all their money and quality players I don't think the squad is big enough for me to compete for four trophies so I went for an extra CB (van Dijk) because Kompany is injury prone and not as good as he used to be and two DM/CM (Fabinho and Illarramendi). I wanted a couple of extra options in midfield and both players are good defensively which is something the City midfield lacked.  I need to maximise the amount of games I play so every competition is important and I want to get to all three finals in the cups (and win them of course). Only one player left and that was Yaya Toure as he was never going to get in the team.

Competitions

 

Four competitions entered and four trophies won. I couldn't have asked for more and beating Man Utd 3-0 in the League cup final was pretty sweet. The league looks like we ran away with it but in truth Liverpool pushed us close and it was only in the last couple of months that we pulled away form Liverpool who didn't lose their first league game until January. We got lucky with our FA Cup final opponents but we did beat Chelsea and Arsenal on our way to the final. The Champions League was the icing on the Christmas cake as we demolished Atletico in the final. We scored a lot of goals in this competition as we knocked Juve out 8-2 on aggregate and PSG 7-3 on aggregate on the way to the final.

Jesus and the three wise men

A festive 69 for Gabriel Jesus.

As I expected Kev was our main source of assists with 28 but he was backed up well Silva and Sane with 17 each. This gave a total of 62 assists.

Jesus: 69 goals

The three wise men: 62 assists 

Total score: 131

I'm very happy with how this went. I don't think I will be top of the leaderboard by the new year (I will be lucky to be top at the end of the day I expect) but its a decent score and with four presents in the trophy cabinet as well. I really enjoyed this challenge so thanks to @Ashez for creating it.

On a side note I also used this season to develop Oleksander Zinchenko by using him as a back up to Silva. You can find the results here.

The totals are getting sharper and getting a mentioned on the leaderboard scarcer. Feeling tempted to take this on with Man Utd  very well played Fox.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be playing it anytime soon as I'm wrapped up in my own save. I intended to have a go just not had chance but i don't tend to allow myself to get distracted once I've started a save as I like to use the next idea to motivate me to finish instead of juggling multiple saves.

Thats fair. Sometimes I like a break from a save to keep it fresh.

Lot of words to say you're scared
