Season 6

A long time since the last update so accept my apologies for that but here comes the latest exciting chapter in the race to get this trio to 1500 and maybe beyond.

Two more exciting players to add to improve the squad depth. It really shows how strong the squad currently is when these two can hardly get a start and are restricted to the bench. Good to have as options though.

Perfect way to bounce back from last season's disappointment with a clean sweep of trophies. Poor league season but I'm starting to think that perfect 34 wins might be impossible.

The Main Event

Last season was a bit of a shocker especially from the English and Scottish representation of our terrifying, or rather something to be mildly concerned about trio so we could really do with a big season all round to stop those seeds of doubt entering my mind.

Firstly let's take a look at their attributes before season 6:

Think these are the set attributes now for the rest of the save, perhaps Woodburn still has some growth left however.

Fan-fuckingtastic. Think the FMM Gods have been laughing in my face throughout this save. Although, in fairness he wasn't going too well before the injury struck anyway:

35 is a very shit number at this stage of proceedings.

Paterson + Woodburn Goals

His biggest return so far and can't complain after the previous two seasons. We need Woodburn to be the saviour again.

Agreed for the time being. Once the 1500 has been reached, if it is, I might focus all the attention on Woodburn as the other two are annoying me.

Yes it continues as I play the game. That involves clicking the icon "FMM18", waiting for the screen to load, and then loading your save. You won't know much about this :P

Season 7

First regens I've signed in this career I think. Both prospects that will be first team in the future brought in for cheap prices. Cardozo in particular should be a star centre half for years.

Team Performance

Never good to drop a trophy but it's the glorified friendly so not too important. Nice league campaign only conceding 9 goals and probably the best we can hope for with the perfect league campaign being seemingly impossible.

Still looking beautiful. 11 defeats in 7 seasons and almost 4 goals per game certainly something to make our No.1 ranked manager jealous!

The Main Event

After the last season we were left with 802 goals with Paterson being the oldest at 28. Woodburn was carrying the other two in a way but let's hope that the other two can chip in with bigger numbers.

7 seasons in and his highest goal tally in a season is 43. Yes he's initially a right back but he's a natural striker now so it's disappointing.

This season was a major relief for me over Calvert-Lewin as he smashes in 60 for the first time just when I thought he was going the wrong way. If Woodburn can match that then we're in for a terrific return this season.

Which he does and this season has been the best so far and hopefully a big turning point in going on to hit big numbers and get to the magic number as quickly as possible!

Woodbridge is delivering, so nothing bad to say about this season :)

For trio's upfront imo anything above 150 is great. 3x50gls each, but in practice as in your career it's more like 40-50-60 gls with Woodbury leading your attack. 3 seasons to go..

Special Update - The Grand Opening Of Sainsbury's

We are here at Sainsbury's to witness the inaugural match being played on top of the popular supermarket. 100,000 seats tower around the pitch and Bayern will be taking on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League opener, a competition Bayern have won every year under their talented, flawless, unbelievable manager.

The teams are in and it's over to the tannoy announcement to introduce the teams. David Alaba was down at 79% after picking up a knock against Hannover so Sessegnon comes in, otherwise a full bill of health. The same can't be said about Atletico, however.

Sam settles in the dugouts which happen to be trolley racks as the game kicks off...

Goal! That wasn't long at all and Sainsbury's goes wild as Callum Paterson glances a header home from a delicious Josh Kimmich cross.

10 more minutes to by... Bayern on the front foot here and Goal! Kylian Mbappe slots home from the edge of the area to double Bayern's lead and send the 98,000 people on top of Sainsbury's roof wild.

Goal!! Another one and it's pretty much a mirror image of the first. Kimmich crosses from the right and Paterson scores.

Atletico look shellshocked here and need time to regroup but... Wait... That's another goal! Mbappe scores again finishing off a nice team move.

All of Atletico's fans have made their way down the escalator for their weekly shop now but it's Callum Paterson helping himself to a hatrick with another goal after a square ball from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Surely this can't get any worse for Atletico before half time. Diego Simeone going absolutely wild on the sidelines smashing trolleys all over the place. He even inserts a £1 to try and push them onto the pitch to get the game stopped. Anyway on the pitch Kurt Zouma chops down Calvert-Lewin in the box, penalty. Woodburn to take, keeper goes the wrong way. Goal.

HT 6-0

Onto the half time entertainment now and the production of the new Sainsbury's advert takes centre stage. Nothing to see here.

Second half begins slowly and it looks as if Bayern have taken their foot of the gas. In other news Florian Oschmann and Bazoer come on for Bayern on the hour mark whilst Diego Simeone brings himself on for Jan Oblak.

Zouma slips! He's having a nightmare as he brings out a Gerrard and Woodburn goes one on one with the keeper and of course...Goal! He doesn't miss those. Going to be a tense finale here.

And that's that. 7-0 win. Sainsbury's already looks like a fortress.

Can I ask why your going with Patterson when he's not a striker? Do you like his stats/potential and age etc rather than going with a Scottish striker say like Leigh griffiths

Because of the nostalgia he brings to vibe. @Ashez had a great 1KC with him a few years ago when he was actually a striker and I stumbled across him this year as a RB but with decent Target Man stats and I just wanted to see what he could do.

Season 8

You had the taster with the Sainsbury's brand opening so now it's time to look at the bigger picture of season 8 with the full season update as I hope to get this wrapped up in 3 or 4 seasons.

All regens from this stage I believe. Gottlicher will become the number one keeper very soon as Fruchtl is underperforming whilst Hefele is a promising centre back. Both signings weaken rivals too :P

 Team Performance

First time this save we fail to win the Champions League and it came on penalties against Dortmund :( Still didn't count as a loss on the unbeaten run though so that has just gone passed 100 games at the end of this season. Another frustrating draw in the league stops the perfect season.

The Main Event

Last season was the best so far so we could really do with a similar one to get closer to the target and get it done as soon as possible. Before we get to the goals let's take a look at their attributes before season 8. I seem to be missing the Calvert-Lewin screenshot this year but his attributes were pretty much the same as last year.

The annoying thing is that Paterson was having his best season to date as well. Would have easily gone above 50 before the FMM Gods laughed in my face.
