Chat Early retirements

Hi folks,

I find it a bit puzzling when players like Giuseppe Rossi, Riccardo Montolivo retire at 31, 32 years old. Also, the overall skills of player aged 30+ dramatically decrease in less than one-two years, at a much faster rate than it would be in real life: Sorrentino and Rafael are still active goalkeepers in Cagliari, Chievo; with the actual in-game trends, we won't get anymore decent old players like let's say Barzagli, Costacurta, Maldini, Totti, Del Piero, Casillas, Villa and so on.

Whith a good medical staff, and a good training, you can keep a player in good shape until 34-35 yo, if he keeps motivation.

Wouldn't it be possible to code it, maybe according to the overall coaching staff quality, and some mental attributes? (determination, leadership)

Nice day everyone,

Nice day everyone,

Are these players at your club or Ai's, I find that players under your management stay better for longer due to our training regimes and general management. Ai players don't have this and players will age quickly. Some players may also have terrible stats but a decent CA and vice versa. Some players may also retire young because of injuries or being out of contract.  Also when you say retired so you mean with or without trying to convince them to stay?

In the case of Giuseppe Rossi he is hugely injury prone having suffered 5 major injuries in his real life career and retiring at 31 isn't that unrealistic although hopefully he will do well now he has signed for Genoa.
