Hi all and welcome back to the reveal of the 1st challenge winner! It has been mayhem, Samhardy’s sizzling bet tips (what a god awful picture by the way  ) a Fox and a Panda bashing each other with words and loads of stress during the careers… Now without further ado let’s dive in the results

To be fair the choice where a bit meh until i stumbled upon Tom Barkhuizen! Playing at Preston this lad screamed hello Black Pearl tactic  Drmic came in as power hitter and possible for playing on the wing.

Midfield

At first is was pretty bummed i had to sell Keïta but then i remembered these godly Brazilians.  I think many have forgotten Scarpa but he was once dubbed a wonderkid so i quickly bought him to replace Forsberg. Arthur followed to replace Keïta.

Defence

With Bernardo out i brought in Chris Gunter. Who? Yes.. exactly who.. No idea and he didn’t really deliver as well. Ewerton came in to bring some additional Brazilian flavour and to have a left in the DC spot.

Goalkeeper

Oh my so tasty! Two legends! Former real legend Casillas came in from FCP and Diego Alves was the Brazilian icing on the cake!

The goalkeeper position was an annoying one as I expect to have to sell one of these guys in the winter window.

 

Defenders

 

 Poor Davide Santon joined the club only to find that I didn’t plan to play full backs and wouldn’t play. He managed 5 appearances all season. Kryvtsov had most of the attributes I wanted for my centre backs and was a first teamer all season.

 Midfield

  

Everton Ribeiro was finally convinced to leave Brazil and head to Europe by the glamour of living in eastern Germany which I’m sure is very similar to tropical Brazil. Just like PriZe I also signed Arthur as it was a real no brainer to get the Brazilian wonderkid in.

Forwards

  

Two Germans joined up front. I didn’t expect much from Quaner and he was meant to be just a back up but take a note of his value in January.

Comfortably through to the 4th round after dominating Inglostadt. Happy to see Mr. Bark on the scoresheet, but boy did the lads mis their glasses 

Champions league

That’s how i like to see it! The group of death is no match for my RBL squad! Sending PSG to the EL and Real madrid 8 points behind us  The adjusted black pearl is really paying off 

League table

Well what can i say, the league is easier than i remembered. Small lead on Bayern but a good goal difference and no loses so far!

Ok I may have forgotten to get a screenshot of the mid-way point of the league season so you will just have to believe me when I say we where in 2^nd place behind Bayern.

In the Champions League we cruised through a group that was much easier than PriZe's.

I just feel gutted  that these lads had to leave. Up to that point Sabitzer and Augustin combined where responsible for 45 goals and assist  Upamecano was a rock in defence and Diego was my best goal keeper.

Say hello to Acosta! What a gem this lad, playing for Lanus he just cost me 4.3M. This is also the time i need to thank Foxy, as i actually accidentally clicked the wrong button and bought two players in the same position. Luckily i hadden’t played so down to the reserves the other lad went.

Midfield

A blast from the past if you ask me. In my memory Ménez was actually was pretty good IRL. In FMM he is MEH.

Defence

Lisandro Lopez came from SLB but man… he is also MEH.. This isn’t my transfer window 

Goalkeeper

One Brazilian out, one Brazilian back in. Cassio was cheap and had the right greens and perfect backup for Casillas.

FuddledFox Winter Transfer Window

 

So who would be going in January? I was expecting to have to sell Sabitzer, Augustin and Upamecano but as it turned out I only had to sell one of these guys.

Leaving would be:

Sabitzer MRL, ST

Quaner MR, ST

Klosterman DRC, WBR

Vanderlei GK

So as it turns out I have to sell two of the guys I brought in in the summer. As it turns out Quaner had a very good first half of the season and scored 21 goals in 26 games with Augustin being less prolific. All this meant that Quaner had a bigger value than Augustin and had to go. Great I get to keep Augustin! But not so great when Quaner doesn’t have much reputation and the club most will to get near his value are Hull and he has no interest in going there.

In the end he went to Sporting for £10m and any hopes I may have had of the bonus points where gone.

Forwards

I replaced Quaner with Barkhuizen and I had high hopes that he could do a good job which he did for a couple of games. I hate Football Manager!!!

Midfield

I spent £4m to replace Sabitzer with Lautaro Acosta showing. PriZe you over spent on this lad.

Defender

I replaced Klostermann by bringing in Abraham. My bid for him started a bidding frenzy but luckily it stopped at bang on £10m and I was able to bring him in.

Goalkeepers

I brought in veteran Brazilian goalkeeper Gomes to replace a little less veteran Brazilian goalkeeper Vanderlei. To be honest I should have brought him in to start with as he is better.

At the end of January I was offered the no transfer window unlockable which I accepted with out paying much attention to it. This would bite me in the arse later on in the season as Arsenal triggered Arthur’s big club release and I was without him for the final 6 games of the season. I have taken the money from that transfer and another youngster who left from my transfer in total. So my total is actually £258.3m so the bonus points go to PriZe who seemed to be able to get far more for his prize assists than I did. I sold them for as much as I could but most likley he was able to get more of a bidding frenzy going as for example I only had one club interested in Keita and I pushed it as far as I could but had to accept at £55m as that was a final offer. It just shows that the game can vary form save to save (and that I'm rubbish at selling players)

Unlike PriZe I did manage to win the German Cup by beating Borrusia Monchengladbach in the final.

Whoop woop  Mr. Bark and Bruma seal the deal in extra time

Having knocked out Man City in the quarter finals I took on Barcelona in the semi-final. First leg went to plan except for the away goal.

We couldn’t finish the job though as two extra time penalties sent Barca through to the final.

Won it  can clearly see the impact of the Winter transferwindow  But we ended up with a nice 56 Goal difference

The league went down to the last game of the season and I needed to better Bayern’s result to lift the title and get maximum points in the league. In the end we beat Bremen and Bayern took a good hammering from Dortmund.
