Currently my first choice keeper in my TT so looking forward to seeing his progress here and I honestly believe this is achievable despite the early doubts as long as you have the luck on your side. You might have to plead with the FMM Gods for this one but all the best, Chris.

That kinda defies the object of the career don't you think.

He would technically be classed as a striker then...not a keeper!

Of course, was a tongue in cheek dig at Scottish football :).

Although the idea of someone like Joe Hart having to spend a career playing up from for West Ham is quite appealing...

It is supposed to be hard to get that many goals with your keeper  Otherwise people would do a 1kc with a keeper  

You are doing great, can't wait to see how this season has gone for you

UPDATE: SEASON THREE.

Hey all,

? i am really enjoying this career but soo for the wrong reasons!!

This is meant to be a keeper scoring challenge but it has become so much more...by accident.

Obviously my focus is for my keeper to score a ton of goals and shall remain so.

lets get into it then, i just wanted to show of a few things from our 3rd season.

I've had my 1st undefeated league season.

 

Almost a 100 goals from Armstrong!

 

As you may have noticed from previous posts, i am playing with higher placed wingbacks and man how devestating they are!!

1st of we have Scottish lefty...

And then we have Brazilian lefty(but playing on the right)...

The assists from these two are mental totals!!

 

So now the fun part is done with let me show you how well Mr Fruchtl did this year.

well......

Just a single penalty! 

It was the only penalty we had all season, nothing from freekicks at all!!

I'm starting to think its just not possible to get a keeper to score freekicks or is it just his age. I'm not too sure.

So 8 goals for Fruchtl so far...123 more to get.

If not,I decided to replicate the task just for fun play and got some interesting results... 4 goals in all competitions first season while still only in September

Just the 1 from a pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich. (Didn't include due to it being a friendly)

Although getting alot of assists from the free kicks he has been taking

A team as dominant as yours only gets one penalty all season! This game can be really frustrating, maybe you need a few divers in the team

What training is he on? Is it just normal GK training or do you have him doing some attacking training as well to see if it leads to some FK goals.

A bit of a mental challenge this - following!

You're highly dependent on set pieces so to get just one penalty is very disappointing. I'm in a similar situation right now in my career scoring with a center back. I'm getting a lot more penalties per season tho, approx. 10 so that's a big help reaching the required number. 

I play pressing all over and (try to) overwhelm the opponent in their half/box, playing a highly attacking game, maybe that adds to getting an extra few fouls off of the opponent

Btw, these Celtic careers make me want to give this team a go as well.

Scotland is great for goals...

I find the more i press the more i get countered. Probably just cus of my tactic.

Hey all.

It's been a while since i updated(pls forgive me).

Been abit busy with family stuff.

This will be a 2 season update to feast your eyes upon.

Here we go then.

SEASON FOUR & FIVE.

As in previous updates i've had fun with other aspects of this career/challenge and i honestly wanted to keep you updated on these...mostly how many assists my wingbacks are getting!

So how are Tierney and Bernardo getting on...

Not as many as last season but still pretty good.

 

Forgot to take a screenie of his assist for season 4 so ive got one from season 5 which shows both.

Not as prolific as Tierney but i think pretty good for a wingback.

Right lets get into what we came here for, how has our keeper been doing over the last 2 seasons.

As i've said before this is a tough challenge.

Fruchtl's goals from s4:

2 more added this term...still not from set pieces and he converted 2/2.

 

Season 5 goals:

A better season bringing 4/5 penalties, but still nothing from set pieces.

Struggling to get goals from our freekicks is hindering our goal!

So his his total so far is 12...woohooo!

With 119 to go and the season dwindling away its going to be a long old haul to get to the grand total...but we plod on to a 6th season and the hope of some Beckham style freekicks!

So long suckers!!

I'm very very very mortal when it comes to this game. Just look at my last h2h challenge vs @PriZe for proof of that?

Not sure how old your man is now but hopefully with a few more penalties a season and maybe some freekicks as well and the total needed will come down a good chunk.

Seems like slow progress but he's a GK!!  he's smashing it. if he keeps going till his 40th you'll beat that record easily. Toughest part is keeping your motivation to carry on.

I got my WB to provide 28 assists in my golf challenge but he wasn't worldclass. With a top player I'm sure you can go well beyond that.

So it looks tight yet do able, I just hope you don't regret going German and writing off ITN instantly! While Ceni didn't score any international goals it could have been a nice crutch haha.

True...but he was the youngest and best i thought i could get.

You never know i might end up at Germany yet ?
