@samhardy what is the rule for those players who are green in the WB positions? Also just so I’m reading this right once I’ve spent my 7.1 million pounds on defenders the rest can be used for other positions

They only have to be demoted if they're green in the back line (DL/DR/DC) or goalkeeper. And yeah after the defence has been brought in you can buy who you want.

For the record challenge one had nothing to do with me :P

Sam asked if I had any ideas and this one has been in my back pocket since the transfer window when everyone was banging on about how Man City's defence cost more than some countries. I think it's a pretty cool concept in truth :)

It's another great idea from you two evil geniuses, and truthfully it's going pretty well so far, but I'm only 12 or so games in so plenty of time for it to go south

The best way to be! In fairness this is the first CC type challenge I've helped make in a while where I thought about playing it to. I doubt I will but I at least thought about it :P

I like it as it tests a lot, sure the defender options are limited but the rest of the squad and even club selection are wide open. Do you abuse loans/free agents and go for specialists in certain positions or do you buy as much quality as you can? Do you trust youth or go for experience? Does the rest of your squad/formation take into account the challenge? 3 points a clean sheet but only 1 for a win so are 0-0 draws preferred as long as you do enough to not get sacked. 

This is the type of challenge I love as there is so much hidden depth to take into account. It's not a one formation fits all challenge and one where the greatest thinker will come out on top imo.

Since I've made a terrific start I think I stand a solid chance getting the gameweek's topscore in.
