The Vikings Cometh Challenge

Welcome to my attempt at this challenge. Been away for quite some time from this site. Hope to see some familiar faces and to give you guys some quality content.

The Challenge

Squad Requirements

  1. Select a premier league or championship team from the "viking invasion catchment area" (VICA) listed below.
  2. Sell or demote all non-viking (Denmark, Sweden and Norway) players
  3. Build an all viking squad.

The VICA teams

BPL Teams - Newcastle, Burnley, Manchester City, Manchester United, Huddersfield

Picked Manchester United for this challenge.

On a side note, I can't seem to find the option for me to centralize my text. Is there any other way to get my text to be in the center?

MID-SEASON UPDATE

Got some reinforcements during the January transfer window just to add more depth to the squad.

FIRST SEASON UPDATE

Let's start with the bad events..

Kicked out by both cups by Dortmund and Chelsea respectively.

English Premier Division:

Produced too many draws to be top of the table. Gonna have to step it up next season!

So according to the rules of this challenge, I get to keep my King/Warlord (Guidetti). Going to keep smashing with the King next season!

OBJECTIVES:

Conquer England (and Defend it)

  1. Win at least 2 premier league titles back to back
  2. Win at least 1 FA cup
  3. Win at least 1 EFL trophy
  4. Win BPL player of the year with any "king" (see special players) three times, can be 3 seperate kings. (1)
  5. Win Golden boot with any "warlord" (see special players) three times can be 3 seperate warlords. (1)

Conquer Europe (and the world)

  1. Win the champions league
  2. Win the club World cup
  3. (Optional) Have your "king" win world player of the year
  4. (Optional) defend your champions league title
  5. (Optional) win the Euros managing a viking nation (Sweden, Norway, Denmark)
  6. (Optional) win the world cup managing a viking nation

SECOND SEASON UPDATE (First Half)

Got some quality players to strengthen the squad to really challenge for the title this season.

So here's how the first half of the season looks like -

Still behind Man City even with a game in hand.. tweaked the tactics and looking good so far!

Progressed to the final for the Carabao Cup again.. still in the other competitions (FA Cup, Champions League) though. Will have to see the outcome on the next update!

You stated that the Non-Viking Players (Denmark, Norway and Sweden)need to be sold or demoted, but u Actually bought em and are playing with em? Though I think all of the Scandinavian countries were indirectly Vikings.

Yes they are already sold on the first season. That's where I got enough transfer funds to bring the Scandinavian team in during the first season which adds up to around £400m +
