Season 8

Hey guys, back with another update for you. Before we get into this I have to admit that I’ve strayed from the French only transfers  purely for the reason that there aren’t many good French players left for me to buy and I’m not a fan of using regens. As I’ve not broken any challenge rules though, I’m not too bothered about it.

Transfers

So Adjapong and Tierney come in as our first non French signings of the career. I needed a couple of decent wingbacks, and I got them in these two.

Verratti leaves for Manchester after a fantastic career for us. He wanted first team football, which unfortunately I couldn’t provide.

Another great season mate. The ironic thing about these kind of challenges is that you beat Metz 5-1 in the final, but as none of your boys scored it probably did not feel like a comprehensive win! Lol.

A truer statement has never been said, when your doing these sorts of challenges you could win 10-0 but it always feel like a loss if none of your strikers score (or don't score the majority)

Just look at the CWC final. An 8-1 victory yet the pair only scored 3 between them. I was devastated with this victory

So now that I’ve scrapped the French only thing, I decided to splash some cash this summer. Some big name signings joining us.

And this is why I love the new update! A super season sees us smash over 150+ league goals (a first for me). We also go undefeated which is a nice little brucie bonus.

Wow! His best season so far, I am really enjoying Mbappé this year. He scores from anywhere and his free kicks are absolutely lethal. 76 goals is huge at this point.

There’s life in the old dog yet! Martial outscores Mbappé with a cool 78 goals! What a season, absolutely brilliant.

Well our race to be perfect was a failure, but there’s some really nice numbers in there. A 91.3% win rate is really nice to look at.

Thanks, I might post it on the tactics forum later, to be honest though I’ve used so many variations and player roles I can’t see a point posting one tactic.

The Final Update

Hey guys, I’m back with the final update of this amazing journey I’ve been on with Anthony Martial and Kylian Mbappé. The double trouble attempt was completed in the last update and since then I’ve completed another 6 (I think) seasons with the two, winning several more trophies along the way. 

Special Mention

I had to show you guys these two incredible players, Marquinhos who has been with me from the beginning still looks incredible at 39, and barring Pogba’s physical stats he looks amazing at 40.

A simply astounding record if I do say so myself. 15 times European cup winners!

Manager Profile

This was the closest I got to managerial perfection! After this I gave up on it to be honest as I bought some French players to boost the domestic bias but the transfer acumen took a huge hit and I just lost patience with it all.

The Main Event

Right let’s get down to business and have a look at the amazing career these two incredible players have had. First let’s take a look at the pair at the start of the career.

Anthony Martial rocking at United with a measly 26 career goals to his name, that would soon change.

Mbappé who was originally on loan at the club had a career record of 16 goals to his name.

Three time European player of the year for Martial.

Along with being a five time Ballon d’or winner.

9 time European footballer of the year for Kylian.

Along with being a 7 time Ballon d’or winner, an incredible career!

Lets have a look at how they both look now..

37 years old and still a world class striker! Ladies and gentlemen, Anthony Martial.

34 years old and probably the best player I’ve played with on any one Football manager game. He is that good.

And finally let’s have a look at they’re final goals tally for the career. As you may have noticed these final screenshots were taken in November, simply for the reason an important milestone was reached.

Martial with a career total of 841 goals to his name. 815 of those coming under my management, cracking career.

And Kylian comes in with the 1K! A thousand goals playing in a front two is something I never thought I could accomplish in this game. All of this in 16 a seasons and a bit. 

Final Total

Martial- 815 goals

Mbappé - 1000 goals

Grand Total - 1815 goals.
