Good evening.

Today I am sharing a tactic I have been using with great success. For the record I am using version 9.1 I believe (The one before the update that came out a few weeks ago)

I used this tactic for the last 5 and a half seasons of my 'Fatal Fourway' career. The goal was to get 2000 goals between 4 strikers. The strikers were all played in a line across the forward line like this. FL FC FC FR. I used this tactic to try to get the most goals from only my strikers.

I achieved the target of 2000 goals in 10 seasons. I played a bonus season 11 in order to get a cheeky Double Trouble and Triple Threat for good measure.

My 4 strikers scored 1300 goals in the last 6 seasons alone (including international goals)

I realise I was playing as PSG and it's not the hardest league in the world but I was still happy with those numbers.

Only because I knew I was posting this tactic - I decided to have a very quick test with Liverpool for exactly half a season. I didn't buy any players which is never good especially when you have to play Karius, Klavan, Milner, Solanke and Sturridge. I had the lads on light training as well to try to avoid injuries (especially as Liverpool only have 4 CB's in the squad)

Smashing the league!

Mane was injured for the last 5 games so I used Oxlade-Chamberlain instead. Before that he was being subbed on late in games. He scored 5 goals in those 5 games.

Salah scored or assisted in 27 of 29 games.

Mane 24 of 25.

Sturridge 27 in 29.

Firmino 25 in 30.

If the tactic wasn't based around my 4 strikers getting as many goals as possible, I would have selected 'Run At Defence', but when I did this in my PSG career - my midfield would run up and score a few goals as well. I only selected this option if the team wasn't playing well or if I was chasing the game. The tactic may well work even better with this switched on all the time.

Will give it a go. Not much working for me - my players individual brilliance rather than the tactics are winning me the matches and trophies at present

Try to ensure your IF on the left is right footed and vice versa. The first things I personally usually look for is good pace, movement, decisions, shooting and dribbling.

I am on the latest update. 

Thank you for this splendid tactic. 

The only tweak I have made is replaced 'shoot on sight' with 'work into box' as I find that I get more ccc's that way instead of speculative long shots.

Thanks for posting, I love 3 at the back tactics. Never had any use for FBs.

Messing around with it on the new update, with Run at Defense turned on, seems beastly.

Imma try this with work into box, run at defence and no early crosses..might take it to a lower league to see how it holds up

Did a quick test with Portsmouth, had mixed feeling about early crosses so I started a test in a bigger club in a way i saved at the start..did 3 games without early crosses and 3 with it

Only difference I noticed was that Mandzukic scored more headers with early crosses on, other then that it plays pretty much the same

Note- I disabled first window budgets and I used same players in same positions for all 3 tests

Tactic is good, Juventus doesnt have a real IF(both cuadrado and douglas are more of a wingers at the beginning)..otherwise results would probably be more convincing

Only problem is defence as expected, without pacy defenders you will get shredded

It may be an idea to pick one of those teams and test the tactic for at least half a season, rather than a few games per team. That may give a clearer picture on how the tactic works over a period of time.

That's how I would do it personally but of course it's up to you.

Of course, that gives players more time to settle in, but I am doing save of my own rn so I just decided to do a small test and give my general opinion on how tactic plays with no transfers in or out..basically get 3 solid defenders and attackers that can score and you got yourself trophies like you did in your save

It's becoming very leaky at the back. Losing too many away games and consistently conceding at least 2 or 3 on my travels. Another one that  the AI seems to have cracked.

Interesting. How long into the season are you?

started the tactic at the beginning of the season and hit December...and with it a wall. 

Not only losing to mediocre teams, but being dominated by them. 

Also, Harry Kane who scored 43 in 49 appearances the year before hasn't scored in 10 games. The IF's getting the goals.

I never had that issue with PSG or Liverpool. I did get the odd stupid result here and there during my PSG career but nothing like you described.

I wonder if the AI reacts to tactics differently in the update??

This is one of the reasons I have for not updating  :D

If you're on Android go to Playstore and search for FMM. When you find it if there is a green update button then you are not on the latest version.
