Right, back to it. Attempt number two is underway. Same player, different team. This time Kluivert has decided to follow in has Fathers footsteps....

Thats right, we are heading to La Liga for this attempt where Justin Kluivert will attempt to do what his father couldn’t get near to doing at Barcelona. Score 1000 goals.

Season 1

First let’s have a look at our outgoings. Busquets became an outcast so had to be sold. I managed to get £40 million for him so I can’t complain too much. The rest were just players I had no use for.

The usual suspects. I stupidly missed out on Arthur in the summer so had to pay way over the odds for him in January as he’d already moved to Lazio. Carlos Soler cost a lot of money, but if any of you haven’t tried him this year I advise you to do so. Laporte and Marquinhos coming in as our new CB pairing. I’m sure @samhardy will be happy to hear that! Diawara and Fosu-Mensah come in to bulk up a fairly weak central midfield position, and of course the cheapest man on the board is the one I’ll be attempting the challenge with!

An open game in the first leg where we manage to secure a fairly comfortable 4-2 aggregate to take into the second leg away from home.

Where we win 2-1 to secure our first “trophy” of this career.

Derby day in the final! Kluivert and Messi bringing home the bacon.

A far from perfect season, but a league title nonetheless. Can only get better than this.

Champions League

A tense final! Torres gave them the lead after just five minutes, but Kluivert equalised just before half time. That’s how this game would stay until the 113th minute where Suarez pops up with the “winner” only to be foiled again by Torres who converts a 123rd minute penalty!

Torres misses when it matters though and we take home the cup after a nervy shootout.

A hatrick of Awards to start things off! Classy season from the young man

I honestly thought he’d develop at a faster rate to be honest. I can’t complain much with the season he’s had though

One goal shy of a half century first season! 49 is a brilliant score to kick things off with though! Seems a much easier league than the Premiership anyway. Although my heart still breaks for that lost save with United!

I’ve stupidly forgot to screenshot transfers. I can talk you through who we bought though. Alban Lafont comes in as our backup GK with a view to being first choice in the future. Henrichs comes in as deputy RB. Thomas Lemar was transfer listed so I couldn’t resist as he’s one of my favourite players this year ( if not THE favourite, he’s that good) and Harry Winks was also transfer listed so I snapped him up too. As for outgoings, no major names left, an aging Pique went to Southampton, Iniesta retired out of the blue, and other than that not a lot happened.

European Super Cup

A single goal in a cagey affair against Arsenal. Kluivert netting the winner 15 minutes from time.

Three missed penalties!! Fuming with him after this game lol! Never seen this happen before, penalties are so broken this year I’ve noticed.

We complete the win at home quite comfortably in the end against our derby rivals.

back and forth in the first leg, two former Kopites making sure of the victory in the second leg.

Playing Atletico is always a tough game, such a solid defensive side. Still no match for Kluivert and co.

Late goals by Kluivert in both legs sees us reach a second successive final.

Where we ended up playing against my former side Man Utd. It seemed to be heading for extra time when Lukaku equalised in the 92nd minute, but Kluivert has other ideas and produced a stunning free kick into the top bag in the dying seconds of the game.

A clean sweep of awards again. WPOTY award has disappeared off the face of the earth in the latest update!

Some nice looking attributes! I’ve got him on one hell of an intensive training regime and he’s not complained at all.

What a second season! 64 goals in 42 games. Smashing stuff by Kluivert and I couldn’t be happier with how this season went.

Three new signings this season to bolster the side.

Donny Van de Beek coming in to give us that Dutch connection with Kluivert and Fosu-Mensah.

Toni Lato, never heard of him before but he looks good, and he will hopefully become our first choice LB in the near future.

First regen of the save! No guesses as to who he is. He was loaned back immediately to his former side.

Just the one outgoing. Lucas Digne left for stoke after becoming our fourth choice LB.

 

European Super Cup

A fairly comfortable 2-0 victory against Bayern Munich sees us retain our Super Cup. Kluivert opening the scoring before an aging Messi seals the deal on the hour.

Never in doubt! Four goals over both legs for Kluivert. What a dominant display in the second leg!

Four goals in the final for Kluivert! He actually scored four in the semi finals on top of this too! At this point of the season I knew we were on for a big total.

His record of scoring in finals continues! A scrappy affair sees us take home the cup after beating Atletico 1-0, we lost Renato Sanches for the final month of the season after this game, and he was a crucial meme we of the first team.

Unbeaten league campaign and only dropping 4 points across the whole season. Fantastic stuff from the lads.

The cherry on the cake! Another clean sweep and two more goals for Kluivert to add to his total.

Justin Kluivert

Some decent looking greens on the board. I believe he’s hit a wall and struggling to get over it though, but still, he’s a great player. Just wish that shooting was a little higher.

15 shooting or not, he smashes in a 102 goals this season at a bang on rate of two goals a game! Incredible from such a young player. I just hope he can continue to hit these high numbers. If he does, this challenge could be completed quickly. 

309 goals in four seasons. Nearly a third of the way there and he’s still to hit his peak years.
