So this is a new concept I’ve decided to add to my careers where I’ll be choosing a player (other than Kluivert) who I deem to have had the best season for us.

The inaugural winner of the player of the year award goes to....

New boy Nadiem Amiri! A £60m summer signing from Atalanta, he proved he was born to play at the top level by putting in a string of very good performances considering it’s a 1k challenge. Playing on the left side as an AP he scored 14 goals whilst setting up another 24. A fantastic debut season from the German.

Team Performance of the Year

Again this is another new concept I’ve decided to add into my careers where I will be selecting the best team performance in a match over the course of the season. We had some great results this year and I was torn between two games...

A 6-0 thrashing of Real Madrid in the Bernabeu in the semi final second leg of the Spanish Cup was the first one. A game where we didn’t have Kluivert playing but Morais (Ronaldo) scores a hatrick as we run riot over our domestic rivals.

And this is the second. Another 6-0 away win. This time in the semi final second leg of the Champions League against Juventus. Another game where Kluivert missed out, another game where Morais scores a hatrick. 

After careful consideration I deemed this award a draw as I simply couldn’t decide between these two fantastic results.

Nothing to show attribute wise, he’s hit his prime!

Another 100+ season! 108 goals this time around for the Dutchman. He was in scintillating form from start to finish. No injuries at all this season meant he could play in 56 games for the club. What a player he’s become.

And just like that, we are nearly half way there. 

Special Mention

A special mention has to be made for one Luis Suárez. Who at the age of 35 has decided he won’t sign a new contract and will be leaving at the end of the season. 

Just look at his attributes though! He could play for another 35 years if he wanted too. I’ve never see a player of this age have those attributes! He must be on some special sort of Weetabix because that right there ain’t even human!

Thanks lads. @Cockers2505 I honestly couldn’t tell you! I’ve got a tactic that works, it’s proven it in my first 1k career and if anything its better after the update. He’s on one hell of an intensive training regime too but I don’t know how much that affects performances and form. What helps is he’s got the “very rarely injured” trait. I think that helps him play full games without me being too scared to leave him on the pitch even if his condition has dropped. I’ll share my tactics at the end of the career

Season 6

Hey guys, back in with another update. I may be able to smash season 7 out in the next day or two depending on things. First off let’s have a look at the transfers.

So Harry Winks decided he’d had enough in Spain and headed back to England and Manchester City. That meant we needed a replacement central midfielder.

The only signing of the season. Marko Rog, signed from Napoli for a huge £150m! 

He’s got the attributes to back that price tag up too, even though he would be spending most of the season as backup.

A great start to the season! Hatrick for Kliuvert and another trophy to add to the cabinet.

And yet again, another fantastic win against Atletico! 4 goals by Kliuvert in the home leg was the cherry on top. Great stuff so far.

A cagey affair against our greatest rivals, but Thomas Lemar scored what proved to be the winner with a little over 10 minutes to go.

Always tough playing against United in this years edition, but a brace from Kliuvert proves decisive and continues our European dominance.

Team Performance of the Year

There were a few candidates again this year but this fixture stuck out more than any.

A 4-0 away win against a usually solid Atletico side. Granted we were 3-0 up before we had Alaba sent off, but to still keep a clean sheet and go and grab a fourth goal of the game for Kliuvert, proved that this was a worthy winner of the award.

Player of the Year

Again, there were a few candidates this year. Nadiem Amiri, last years winner could quite have easily won again with the performances he put in. I do however, have to give it to this man. Who with 18 goals and 31 assists for the season, proved he is a worthy winner of this years player of the year award. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Thomas Lemar...

My favourite player this year, an absolute god like footballer!

Finally, let’s have a look at how the main man of this challenge got on!

Towards the back end of the season I changed staff. I’m now rocking with three attacking coaches and one fitness. I’m hoping that will have an affect on him next season. We shall see anyway.

He just keeps getting better! Surely that is the highest he can go right?! I’ve only ever hit a 100+ twice before I believe. He’s bloody done it three times on the trot! Brilliant stuff, and this only makes the rest of the challenge easier, he’s only turned 24 in early May for Christ sakes!

So there we have it, 6 seasons down and we are over half way already. Kliuvert has well and truly outdone himself in this career. I’m really curious as to how many he could score in Holland, Scotland or Portugal. As always thank you guys for reading and remember to drop a comment.

Three big names leaving us this summer. All three were into their thirties and I needed to build a team that would be a staple for the next 6-7 years or so. So off they went and in came their replacements.

So five major signings this summer. Let’s have an in depth look at all five.

A £150million David Alaba replacement. No pressure then son! To be fair he looks absolutely awesome. 20 crossing, 19 dribbling, stamina and movement  with 18 pace and we have a cracking Wing back who will cover the left flank for years to come.

Now this lad came in to replace the spot Rafinha had in the squad, behind that terrible strength we have a decent player.

We all know about this guy. Comes in as a Coutinho replacement. I just hope he can be half as good as his Brazilian counterpart.

We tried to sell Sergi Roberto this summer but we failed. I did however but his replacement in the shape of this guy. He would be Henrichs’s deputy but he’s a fantastic option to have.

And Thilo Kehrer. Right out of the bargain bucket at £12million pounds he was a luxury buy not a necessity. He’s proved in many of my careers this year that he’s a really good player.

The damage was done at the Bernabeu. A missed penalty in the second leg was the only downside of the tie.

I had to choose this game. 5-1 against Atletico where we absolutely dominated. Hatrick from Dembélé and a brace from Kliuvert. Great win.

So many huge performers this year, but because of the nature of how we won trophies so easily this season I have to give it to this man.

Aymeric Laporte, a staple in the side since the very beginning. He’s now into his thirties but look at those physicals! He’s been a constant in the side and he’s a fully deserving winner of this award.

A big farewell to these two legends of the game on their retirement! Suarez still looks amazing!

He looks slightly better than last season. I think so anyway! Will have to double check lol.

A small drop in goals, but I expected as much due to changing the squad around a bit. It took a while for the new signings to really get going. I’m putting it down to that anyway lol. Still a 100+ and this is getting all too easy now! He’s really outdone himself in my eyes. Once you get past the first three years of him being fatigued and feeling pressured, it’s all fun and games afterwards!

370 to go! At the rate he’s going that’s four seasons hopefully!

Cheers lads. He is without doubt the most consistent scorer I’ve used this year. He’s got “tries first time shots” on his posistion page too, the amount of goals he scored from outside the area is unreal and his free kicks are awesome on top of that. The only thing he does do often is miss penalties but then the game is pretty broken in that regard this year

Sergi Roberto finally finds a new club after spending all of last season on the transfer list. Miguel San Roman was our third choice keeper and I was happy to let him go and stick with the two I’ve got. I can always promote from the B side if I absolutely have to.

Just the one signing and there’s no introduction needed. Kylian Mbappé comes in to be our backup striker and also to provide cover for the AML/AMR posistions. A snip at £104million might I add.

European Super Cup

A thrilling game that needed extra time to settle it. City clawed their way back from 3-0 down but Dembélé’s extra time goal seals it.

First leg was a cagey affair but the second leg was just a goal fest! Our second 7 goal thriller in the first three games of the season! As long as I’m on the winning side I don’t care.

Club World Cup

I’m struggling in this competition to really blow the opponent away. I’m used to smashing teams 6-0 in this comp! Not a poxy 3-0 win!

A comfortable victory against a decent side this season in Sevilla.

Not perfect this time but we smash a 132 goals in which I’m well chuffed with.

Familiar foe, familiar result. Sevilla have had a cracking season in all fairness. Two finals and a third placed league finish ain’t to be sniffed at.

A few standout performances this season but this one stood out most. Absolute domination from start to finish with Kliuvert netting 4 goals.

Only one winner this year. A constant in the side and he’s come on leaps and bounds this season.

A drop in goals again this season! But 92 is still a huge amount that I can’t really complain much about. He played 5 games less this year so he could have potentially hit a 100+ had he played them.

I've read everything on this forum over the months and absorbed it all, tweaked and fiddled with my tactics, in hope of smashing the 1000 goals, and with all of that, can't even get close to numbers like these. The biggest goals return in a season i can get is 70, and that seemed super lucky, i average around about 50-60 a season, using crazy intensive training, having a ridiculously strong squad, and have tried all kinds of formations.

What shape/formation/tactic do you use to achieve these numbers?

Thank you mate. I’ll share the formation I’ve used at the end of the challenge. Although I have used about three different variations.

Player roles I’ve switched up a few times too and team instructions there’s no point in sharing as I do switch them from game to game (although I do start the game with the same set of instructions)
