Hi everyone and welcome to another challenge I created, I hope you like it  

The challenge will take 14 seasons and will be about the ABC's of football.

 

The challenge:

Season 1 --- Assists

Spoiler

Assist: A pass in a football game which leads directly to a goal

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in 2 midfielders.
• You have 1 season to get as many assists as possible with the 2 midfielder you have chosen.

Points:

• The combined total of assists of your 2 midfielders

Rules for this part:

• Midfielders must be transferred in
• All games count
• Other transfers allowed

 

Season 2 --- Brace + Clean sheet

Spoiler

Brace: The scoring of two goals by one player

Clean sheet: If a goalkeeper does not allow a goal until the end of the match, he is said to have kept a “clean sheet”

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in a striker and a goalkeeper
• Score as many braces as possible with the chosen striker
• Keep as many clean sheet as possible with the chossen goalkeeper

Points:

• The amount of braces scored by your striker + the amount of clean sheets by your keeper

Rules for this part:

• Striker and goalkeeper must be transferred in at the start of the season
• Only League games count
• No other incoming transfers

 

Season 3 --- Double

Spoiler

Double: Winning both home and away games in the same season, usually used in the phrase “doing the double over (name of a team)”

 

Challenge goals:

• Win both the home and away match against the same team

Points:

• Every team you beat home and away will earn you 5 points

Rules for this part:

• Only League games count this season
• Transfers are allowed

 

Season 4 --- EPL + Free agent

Spoiler

EPL: The abbreviation of the English Premier League, the top league in England and one of the biggest in the world

Free agent: A player who is not affiliated with any club for the time being

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in 2 strikers: 1 from the EPL & 1 Free Agent
• Score as many goals as possible

Points:

• Goals from your EPL striker + goals from your Free agent striker

Rules for this part:

• Both strikers must be transferred in at the start of the season
• No other incoming transfers allowed

 

Season 5 --- Galácticos + Hat-trick

Spoiler

Galácticos: A term used to describe Real Madrid players who were purchase at very expensive rates; an example of Galactico is Zinedine Zidane, who as purchased for a record transfer of £46 million in 2001 

Hat-trick: Scoring three goals in a single match by one player

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in 1 striker from Real Madrid
• Score as many hat-tricks as possible

Points:

• The amount of hat-tricks scored by your striker

Rules for this part:

• Striker must be transferred in at the start of the season
• No other incoming transfers allowed

 

Season 6 --- In-form + Journeyman

Spoiler

In-form: An expression used to describe a player who is free from injury and is in good physical condition to play football

Journeyman: A term used to refer to a footballer who has played for many clubs during his career; the most famous example of a journeyman is Lutz Pfannenstiel, who has played for 25 different clubs all over the world; the opposite of a journeyman is a one-club man

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in a German goalkeeper
• Your German goalkeeper should play 30 games minimum

Points:

• Goalkeeper avarage rating x 10

Rules for this part:

• Goalkeeper must be transferred in at the start of the season
• Transfers allowed

 

Season 7 --- Keeper + League

Keeper: A short reference for the goalkeeper

League: A competition format in which the team that earns the most number of points at the end wins; in a league, a win rewarded with three points, a draw is worth one point, and none for a loss; also called, division, table, championship 

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in a goalkeeper
• Play your keeper in a striker position
• Win the league

Points:

• Amount of goals scored + League position score (1st = 50points, 2nd = 40 points, 3rd = 30 points, 4th = 20 points, 5th = 10 points, other = 0)

Rules for this part:

• Goalkeeper must be transferred in at the start of the season
• Only League games count
• No other incoming transfers allowed

 

Season 8 --- Man of the match + NASL

Man of the match: An unofficial recognition given to a player who has contributed most to the success of his team in a game

NASL: (a) North American Soccer League, a former professional league in the United States and Canada (1968-1984);
(b) A league founded in April 2011 with teams from the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in a player from USA, Canada or Puerto Rico
• Make that player MoTM as many times as possible

Points:

• Amount of MoTM awards for your chosen player

Rules for this part:

• player must be transferred in at the start of the season
• No other incoming transfers allowed

 

Season 9 --- OFC + Playmaker

OFC: Oceania Football Confederation, the football body that governs teams in the continent of Oceania; there are six continental bodies in the world

Playmaker: A player, typically a midfielder, who controls the tactical flow of his team

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in a midfielder from the Oceania Football Confederation (American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu)

Points:

• Amount of goals + assists from the chosen midfielder

Rules for this part:

• Player must be transferred in at the start of the season
• Other transfers allowed

 

Season 10 --- Quarter-final + Red card

Quarter-final: The third to the last stage in competitions, where eight teams compete to determine which advances to the next stage, the semi-final

Red card: A red-colored card given by a referee to players for serious offenses; a player who incurs a red card is sent off a match and cannot be replaced

 

Challenge goals:

• Reach as many Quarter-finals as possible
• Bring in 2 Central Defenders

Points:

• Every Quarter final reached = 20 points
• Every Red card your 2 central defenders get will cost you 5 points

Rules for this part:

• Players must be transferred in at the start of the season
• No other incoming transfers allowed

 

Season 11 --- Serie A + Treble

Serie A: The highest football league of Italy, equivalent to the Premier League in England and La Liga in Spain

Treble: A club achieves a treble when it wins the two highest competitions in the country and the highest competition in the continent during the same year

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in 1 player from the Serie A
• Win the treble

Points:

• Every award your Serie A player gets (including ToTY etc) earns you 10 points
• The treble will get you 50 points (No treble = 0)

Rules for this part:

• Player must be transferred in at the start of the season
• No other incoming transfers allowed

 

Season 12 --- UEFA Champions League + Vatreni

UEFA Champions League: An annual international club competition featuring the top clubs in Europe; UEFA Champions League winners are considered the best clubs in the world

Vatreni: Nickname of the Croatian football team during the 1998 World Cup, their first and most successful World Cup

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in 1 Croatian player
• Win the Champions League

Points:

• Every award your Croatian player gets (including ToTY etc) earns you 10 points
• The Champions League will get you 50 points (No winner = 0)

Rules for this part:

• Player must be transferred in at the start of the season
• Other transfers allowed

 

Season 13 --- Wembley Wizards + Xanthi FC (Thanks @laurie_king)

Wembley Wizards: Nickname of the Scotland national football team in 1928, earned after defeating England 5-1 at Wembley

Xanthi FC: Xanthi Football Club is a Greek football club, based in the city of Xanthi. The club currently competes in the Super League Greece.

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in 1 Scottish player and 1 Greek player 
• Score as many goals as possible with your Scottish and Greek player

Points:

• Goals from Scottish player + goals from Greek player
• The Champions League will get you 50 points (No winner = 0)

Rules for this part:

• Player must be transferred in at the start of the season
• Other transfers allowed

 

Season 14 --- Yellow Submarine (Thanks @laurie_king) + Zizou

Yellow Submarine: Nickname of Villarreal FC

Zizou: Nickname of the French football legend Zinedine Zidane

 

Challenge goals:

• Bring in 1 defender from Villarreal + 1 French player
• Get as many assists with the defender and goals with the french player as possible

Points:

• Goals from your French striker + assists from your defender from Villarreal
• Every Award your Villarreal player or French player gets (including ToTY etc) earns you 10 points
• Every Cup you win earns you 25 points

Rules for this part:

• Player must be transferred in at the start of the season
• No other incoming transfers allowed

 

 

General Rules:

• You can pick any team you want, but only in the top divisions of each league.
• No unlockables (sugar daddy etc) (gold badge and reputation are allowed).
• No use of text changes, save editor or IGE at all.
• No cheating - Restarting to avoid injuries counts as cheating!!
• A career must be posted, as screenshots are needed as evidence (If you don't know what screenshots to post, just ask) .
• If requested you must upload your save so we can check no cheating has taken place via the save editor, failure to do this will result in you being rejected from the leader board.
• Own formations only
• SI databases only
• No Myclub or created players
• Have fun

With X coulda been based around Greece as there's a team called Xanthi FC
