Career Cockers Completes The Bad Boys from Brazil Challenge

After successfully completing the Le Trio Magique Challenge, I thought I jump straight into something else, another short 2 season Career, thanks to @danovic78 as always...

The Club of choice for this attempt is no other than:

So my journey begins with the biggest club in the French league, can I make this as successful as I did with Marseille...

What do I have to achieve with this Challenge, and what is awarded at the end...

Can you create a Brazilian double act to rival these two?

RULES

• Load up any countries and take over any club (Enabling the most South American players would be an advantage)
• You must then either sign two Brazilian strikers or use two already at the club. 
• One of your strikers must be 30 or over.
• Other transfers are allowed.
• The challenge will last for two seasons, Romario and Edmundo never stay anywhere very long!
• The points total will be your combined goals from the two strikers in all comps (not friendlies), league points and goal difference from each season.

So who am I to choose to re-create the formidable Brazilian duo of Romario and Edmundo...

First I thought I would introduce the Senior of the Strikers, the 30 or over player...

Welcome Luiz Adriano

Luiz Adriano de Souza da Silva (born 12 April 1987), or simply Luiz Adriano, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for French Premier League club Paris SG as a striker for a reported £12.25Million.

Born in Porto Alegre, he began his career at hometown club Internacional before joining Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007 for €3 million. He became an integral member of the Ukrainian club, becoming the all-time leading goalscorer for Shakhtar in October 2014 and receiving his first call-up to the Brazil national team the same month. His move to Paris SG has delighted all those associated with the club.

So my choice for his striking partner needs no introduction, widely thought as one of the best currently, his transfer to Paris SG is exactly what is needed to booster my chances at making this challenge areal success...

Roberto Firmino Barbosa de Oliveira (born 2 October 1991) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for French Premier League club Paris SG and the Brazil national team as an attacking midfielder, forward or winger.

After starting his career with Figueirense in 2009, he spent four-and-a-half seasons at Hoffenheim. His 16 goals in 33 games for the 2013–14 Bundesliga season earned him the award for the league's Breakthrough Player. In July 2015, he signed for Premier League club Liverpool. Then in 2017 he signed for Paris SG for £90Million plus a player swap.

Firmino made his international debut for Brazil in November 2014 and represented the nation at the 2015 Copa América.

My first job on joining this club was to update the Backroom staff...

On taking over...

I needed to replacements for my Physio department as these players are going to work their socks of to bring success in all areas, scouts not to bothered about as I know what players I want, so the club is now up and running with a good Background staff, a proven winning Manager, and a team to bring success...

As it is now, the season can begin...

Gold Badges in all areas, now it is a Winning Club...

Hi @arsenalking98 i'm currently using a 3-5-2 formation with 5 flat Midfielders, the option is to dominate with pushing my wingers up when I can

So my Season kicks off with some good results in the pre-friendlies, this prompted me to stick with the same formation as the season began...

First Cup to Paris SG...

Trophée des Champions

Not exactly how I wanted this to go, but a win is a win...

October put Luiz out for 3 weeks, he will be missed, but stronger on his return...

What a player in his prime, this 30 year old never says never...

Can only say WELL DONE as he deserves it...

The relationship is working so far...

December is upon us, we have so far down well in the League, and the cup competitions are just as successful, but it's about the 2 Brazilian boys an what they can achieve...

Roberto Firmino first...

His tally isn't spectacular, but where he misses, Adriano makes up for it...

Stats so far...

A healthy 23 goals in 26 games is a good return so far...

Luiz Adriano next...

With his injury leaving a big gap, all other games have seen him play well, just needs to get a few more goals to make this a successful challenge...

18 goals out of 22 games so far for a 30 year old is about right, the pair work well together and score their share of the goals, the season can only get better, hopefully injury free...

I can show you my basic set up, but I amend game by game, so by all means try it and tell me how you get on...

I change the passing to Short, take off early crosses, change my AF to Poacher, push either 1 of my Wingers, or sometimes both to make a 3-3-2-2, depends on each game and how I am controlling it, or being over run, but currently it's December and I have lost 2 championship Group games, and 1 League game to Monaco, all other games have been a win so it works for me...

Solid going mate, it's nice to see Bobby getting some love! This is another challenge I looked at but none of the over 30 options really appealed to me, research for this led to my Kaka save though :).

Thanks @Ashez I'm trying to enjoy the game as it's got a little stale for me, sometimes I simply press auto fill and fast everything, meaning I'm not having an input to be truthful, so these little challenge give me a chance to just enjoy the game, I'm not after breaking all the records, just benchmarks to say I attempted it, now everyone else can have a score to beat

This has to be the weirdest game I've ever seen, a Hatrick of chances ruled offside, come on!!!

So my first season has gone well...

Clinched the title, which is expected from this club as we all know, but still an achievement...

This followed by another trophy...

The French Cup was lifted by us, we completely dominated this game yet it took extra time to eventually break them down...

So one league game lost was a good season, only conceding 21 goals all season with a line up of 3 CD was an achievement...

Finally how did the 2 Brazilians get on in their first Season together...

Roberto Firmino

Stats says it all, I kept him as fit as possible to try and get the most games out of him, there wasn't many games he missed, and if he did it was due to a little fatigue...

First set of figures for Season 1 is 42 goals in 56 games, also totting up 13 assists, so all in a really good return, next season can only get better...

Luiz Adriano

Considering his age, he also kept himself fit enough to play as many games possible, I was amazed a player like him didn't get picked for the National team a little more, 4 caps is a shame...

So a return of 36 goals in 52 games was a good number for me, each striker providing the other, 16 assists shows they worked well together as a front partnership...

So that is my first Season of this 2 Season challenge, I will tot the points up at the end of Season 2, thanks for reading, Season 2 will begin very soon...

Update...

My second season didn't kick off with a good start...

Wow the fans can be hurtful, I know we lost, but come on...

First game of the Second season was an improvement after loosing the Trophy Des Champions...

That a better result with both my Brazilians getting on the Score sheet...

Tragedy follows not long after, is this going to be a season of heartbreaks...

Another long lay off, hopefully he can come back as strong as he did last season, obviously he's getting towards 32 now, not long before he starts to start loosing attributes...

Firmino continues to hold the fort, his tally so far is not amazing, but he keeps popping up with hayracks or braces...

12 goals in 10 games is not something to ignore, can he continue like this with his Brazilian partner...

So I will leave it so far, my league results have been brilliant, currently unbeaten in 11 games...

Next Update...

Firmino looks to be doing well without his Brazilian partner so far...

His contributions has made him the Foreign player of the Year which is a good honour to gain...

Added another solid Midfielder to help me complete this season with strength in the middle...

Nearing the half way point of the season and both players are back helping each other get the goals to make this Challenge a success...

Firmino is going strong with 31 goals out of 33 games...

And with him back playing I, Adriano has notched 14 goals in 25 games, not to bad so far...

The League looks good, conceding only 2 goals in 25 games and loosing the 1 game...

Champions League results have been good, got past the Group stage knocking out both Zenit and Ajax along the way...

Last Update to this Challenge, thanks to those who have read this and commented...

So my Champions Cup moved ahead well, from getting past the Group stages, first came the 2 legs against A.Madrid...

Complete domination at home, but only winning by that 1 goal

We dominated again even on the away game, this time Firmino finally getting the goals required to move on

Next came the Coupe de la Ligue Final...

What a disappointment, it was a hard fought out game with plenty of chances, we simply couldn't get it into the back of the net, and the one we did eventually score gets ruled offside, oh well, another night would be a different story...

Champions Cup Quarter final, we was drawn against Dynamo Kyiv, not an easy 2 legs, the first being at home where I needed to get a good lead...

I wanted a good lead, but didn't expect to score 6 past them, Firmino popping up with an Hatrick was icing on the cake, just needed a draw or maybe a small win in the away leg

Not a good result, the saving grace was I was already 6 to the good, so final overall tally 3 - 6 to me was all I needed to get to the Semi's

The League Tile was ours again...

Clearly deserved winners...

Champions Cup Semi Finals drew me against Manchester city, this wouldn't an easy draw, could we clinch it with the Home game again...

A good 3 - 0  to take to the away leg, this isn't over yet

Yes we lost, but scoring the 2 goals against them was what was required to get past these mighty giants, the FINAL it is then...

Through to the Champions League Final, the draw was made, who would it be...

It had to be a Spanish giant, this will be an interesting Tie, can I keep all my players injury free to clinch the title...

Season over for the League, of interest, I didn't score as many as I would of liked, but it was the goals Conceded that amazed me, a full 38 games played, and only 4 Goals conceded, wow...

The French Cup Final...

Clinched it with a 4 - 0 win against AS Monaco, 

So the Final of the Champions Cup os upon us, we face the might Real Madrid,  formidable side, can we come on top to win the prestige trophy...

It's ours, a not so comfy 1 - 0 win, but we will take it, a win is a win, regardless of goals...

There dominated the game, but my hero of the season Rulli did his job in stopping the 7 on target and allowing us to lift the cup...

So a total of 8 losses over 2 seasons is not bad run out, to finish 2nd as a World Class manager is fine with me...

So his tally was not as much as the first season, but with his injuries and endurance he did miss a few games...

Roberto Firmino

So 47 goals out of 56 games is a good outing, the one big notice is their assist ratings, worked really well together helping to set up so many goals for each other, but Neymar and Bailey was formidable when creating chances through both seasons...

Luiz - 28 + 36 = 64

Firmino - 42 + 47 = 89

League Points - 101 + 99 = 200

Goal Difference - 79 + 69 = 148

Total - 64 + 89 + 200 + 148 = 501

You’re welcome. Not at the moment mate. Got my TT career and the Vibe olympics coming up so won’t be able to commit to anything else to be honest. Maybe in the near future though!
