The Semi-Finals - Javelin Throw

In the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games,  Norwegian Andreas Thorkildsen set a new Olympic record for the Javelin throw at 90.57 metres. Can you emulate his success as you bid for a place in the finals?

This challenge is one solely created by my co-host @Titjes, it is one that will push you as a manager and only the four worthiest competitors will advance to the final round.

Set up:-

  • Load up England
  • Take control of Bournemouth 
  • Use Joshua King to accumulate your points
  • 16 League Games only
  • No Transfers

The Points System:-

Goals Scored by Josh King

Metres Thrown

1 Goal

4 Metres

2 Goals (Brace)

7 Metres

3 Goals (Hatrick)

10 Metres

In the event of a tie-break, Joshua King’s Average rating for league games will be the deciding factor.

Screenshots Required:-

  • Manager Profile & Season History
  • All 16 League games must be sent in individually
  • League Table after 16 Games
  • Josh King’s attribute & History page
  • Transfers

Rules:-

  • Enhanced Match Engine only
  • Own Tactics Only
  • Any starting reputation is allowed
  • You can use any level coaching badge
  • No Unlockables or In game editor
  • November database only
  • No Holidaying
  • Evidence via screenshots will be required
  • Failure to meet the deadline set will mean zero points and ejection from the competition - no extensions

  • If you fall under any suspicion you will be asked to submit your save for inspection. Failure to do so will result in immediate ejection from the competition.

  • Strictly no Reloading, and this rule applies to ALL of you, the time and effort that has gone into this competition will be wasted on the ones that RELOAD. So Please, don’t do it.

The javelin itself is probably a metre long so you could just drop it and it would be classed as a metre 😂

Just a suggestion, and happy to be told to shut up, but is it worth asking for a screenshot of the main tactic used? That way if anyone scores 867 goals then at least the tactic can be tested to see if it really works and it can be compared against lineups etc if necessary.

Not really worth it mate, i can always ask for save files if I’m unhappy with something and I can look at the tactic like that

So I did a small test untill the point something became obvious... I will leave the screens here to discuss...

 

I played 5 league games like @Harish discribed in his post on here about the tactic and that told me enough...

Reminds me of last year this olympics, I was having a blast entered every round even though I was sceptical of some of the results coming in. Until it just got stupid with near perfect results every time by certain individuals, I quit when someone got 16 clean sheets in a row with Joe Hart at Torino 😂😂 and nobody even questioned it but me.. gullible idiots lol.
