I think you guys in the final have waited long enough and it is time to see which nation will be the inaugural Vibe World Cup winners. We also have the 3^rd place playoff and the Golden Mobile Award to hand out as well.

Here is a reminder of the fixtures if needed.

The contestants this week had to build a squad made up of players from each World Cup winning nation and get them all to score at least once and also score as many points in the league as possible. The contestants either managed PSV or Ajax in the Eredivsie.

I would love to build a little suspense with this but unfortunately the Aussie lads were unable to get any scores to me this week whereas both the Benelux lads submitted so they take 3^rd place uncontested although the score they had would have taken some beating anyway.

@PriZe used this squad.

He scored maximum goal points and lifted the Eredivsie title with his PSV team scoring 98 pts in the process.

 Titjes was back this week and just like week 1 he posted a good score, oh what could have been for the Benelux team if Titjes didn’t need to earn money.

This is it!!! We are going to start with team mates No2 for the final update so that is @nuke vs @rob who both took charge of Ajax.

He had no problems getting them all to score and had that part of the challenge completed in October and so he was then able to concentrate on doing as well as he could in the league. In the league he drew 4 and lost 1 to score 91 league points.

This is the squad that Rob chose for the challenge.

Rob also got at least 1 goal from all his outfield players meaning that round 1 of the final is going down to league points. Rob had a tougher time in the league as he had 5 draws and 3 loses despite lifting the title.

This means that the Welsh have an 8 point lead as @Taff takes on @Woody.

No problems from Taff as he got all his players on the score sheet nice and early to earn maximum goal points. He lift the league title but he did drop points with 3 draws and 2 loses to score 90 points.

It was going to take a mammoth effort from Woody if England want to lift the title as he was going to need maximum goal points and then he could afford to only lose and draw 1 league game.

Woody most certainly seemed to have all the bad luck that was going in the final as the only player he needed to score Tiago Dutra managed to miss 5 months of the season and despite Woody best efforts and a missed penalty from Dutra in his final game he missed out on 50 goal point as you all needed to get every player from a single nation to score in order to get the points. In the league Woody won the title but drew 9 games and lost 1 scoring 81 points.

Forget Geraint Thomas as from Anglesey to The Gower and Snowdonia to The Brecon Beacons Wales have a new set of heroes in the shape of Taff and Nucleus!!!

Congratulations lads you were favourites right from the beginning, smashed every challenge put in front of you and I think everyone will agree that you both deserve the title.

 Commiserations to Woody and Rob. You both put up a good fight and Woody was especially unlucky with those injuries. You were both great competitors and along with the Welsh lads brought a great sense of competition and humour to this tournament.

This leaves one last title to hand out

The Golden Mobile Award

This award will crown the contestant who scored the most points for his team in all three weeks and the lads from the 3^rd place playoff have had there point added as well as the guys in the final. After the semi-final’s PriZe had a 13 point lead over Nucleus. With the highest score this week @PriZe managed to extend that lead and take the title of MVP so congratulations to him.

 

That brings the Vibe World Cup to an end. I want to thank everyone who took part and I hope you enjoyed the challenges that I set you all. I wanted to try and encourage you all to use players that you may not have thought of using before especially with the last 2 challenges. It’s very easy to buy the same players all the time in our careers and these community competitions are great to take part in as you get to try new players and teams. My aim was for you all to hopefully find a few hidden gems even if it did mean you having to do some epic squad building to find them.

The final thing to say is Llongyfarchiadau to the Welsh lads.
