Report · Posted October 3, 2018 Firstly,I really want to appreciate the hosts ; @samhardy and @anfieldsquirrel...They have really done a great job.. Also, I also want to appreciate everyone that participated in this challenge and most especially those I faced one-on-one in the quarters, semis and final... Finally, it is a great honour to compete against the mighty @foxy in a competition like this and I am also proud of myself for attempting and completing the final challenge; though it was a very tough one but I kinda enjoyed it the transfer part of it... I would post the career thread here irrespective of who wins the final Once again,Thanks to you all💖💖💖
Report · Posted October 3, 2018 Challenge Cup Final - Results Over the past week both @Damilare and @Foxy have attempted the incredibly tough Averaging Out (With a twist) challenge to see who will be crowned the champion of this Challenge Cup. For their selected nations, Foxy chose Germany whilst Damilare went for England. No point in wasting any time banging on about pointless things so let's get straight into what you're all here to see! The Cups Foxy strikes the first blow here after getting through a marvellous 9 cup rounds securing him 27 points, whereas his opponent only managed to get through 5! 12 point gap already and with how tough this challenge is could that prove to be a big difference maker come the end? Live Score - Foxy 27-15 Damilare It's clear to anyone that the league is the bread and butter of this challenge and where the big points are available. No bonus points for this one so it all comes down to league points and GD. Points Foxy - 78 Damilare - 80 Damilare takes this part of the challenge but not by a lot! Foxy fans should still be happy with this I think as there's still a 10 point gap going into the goal difference! This is as tight as we all hoped! Live Score - Foxy 105-95 Damilare GD Damilare needs to have a GD of 10 or more better than Foxy to win. 10 more would give the Nigerian the trophy on our League points tie break! I can reveal that Damilare notched a goal difference of +41... Live Score - Foxy 105-136 Damilare Still following? Simple now, Foxy needs to have a GD of 32 or better to win the CC. 31 or less and he loses it in heartbreaking fashion! And his GD was... Spoiler 34!!! Congratulations to @Foxy on becoming the new Challenge Cup champion! Commiserations to @Damilare who fell just short. Final Score: Foxy 139-136 Damilare

Report · Posted October 3, 2018 Wow that was close! Commiserations @Damilare that was an excellent score and you certainly got the league form right towards the end of the season to get those extra points. I was worried I had put too much into the cups as we got into April and what squad I had left was very tired. It did cost me some league points but as it turns out those cup runs proved the difference Thank you to @anfieldsquirrel for your work in the early rounds and of course @samhardy for his work throughout the tournament. I know how hard these events are to run having done it on a smaller scale myself so credit too you. The challenges that we had to do were fun, interesting and of course challenging (evil as well in the case of the quarters) and I think this final was the best of the lot. Thanks to anyone who was supporting me during this tournament as well.

Report · Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) What a final!!!! Congratulations @Foxy.... Short Conversation between my cousin and I concerning this final... Cousin:Do u think you would win this final? Myself: why not? But if we were to place a $100 bet that would yield $100000 winning, I would give foxy a straight win(laughs) Cousin:(laughs)... Much and well deserved respect👏👏👏👏 Edited October 4, 2018 by Damilare

Report · Posted October 4, 2018 What a closely fought final! Truly deserving finalists in their own rights! Congrats to @Damilare and commiserations to @Foxy, you were that close to winning him but goal difference proved to be the major tiebreaker in the end! Thanks @samhardy and @anfieldsquirrel for hosting this competition, it was a joy to play here and I definitely enjoyed the challenges issued out there, it gave me a real run for my money!

I just double checked in case I dreamt it but it's still true that I won mate 😂 I'm not going to share my whole season as @samhardy gave all the info we need last night but I will share with you all the game that I believe won me the final. Steven N'Zonzi with a goal deep into injury time to knock out Juve on away goals and send us to the CL semi's and get those vital 3pts that won the CC final 😃

Fantastic victory that 😝 a Juve missed penalty is all that’s missing from that match
