Career Borussia Dortmund FC - Can they Win the Bundesliga?

Choosing the career

I have always wanted to do a save with Borussia Dortmund FC. Seeing that bright yellow shirt when I was younger along with their style of football was always attractive.Bayern Munich have created a monopoly in German football but could I change Dortmunds luck?

Stadium & Facilities

So, Last night i looked on Google for top football stadiums and Dortmund's came up. The Stadium is beautiful and large holding 80000+ fans. In addition to this , I asked the board for facility improvements and they were granted! This means we went into the season with the 'Best' state of the art training facilities as well as top youth facilities.

Holiday & Assistant Manager

As with my other saves, my process as manager involves setting out my holiday stance and delegation as seen below:

Staff, Finances and Training Facilities

To start, I brought Erwin Lemmens to the club as my assistant manager, taking the place of a silver trained coach. The finances due to moderate signings and selling players was kept green which is great. The training was again quite intensive , which mixed with the state of the art facilities was really exciting!

Tactics

Below shows my Tiki Taka tactic which i used for Borussia Dortmund FC. The tactic worked well picking up excellent results. Players like reus were perfect for the inside forward role.

The Squad

First Off, I came into this save expecting to see a world class team who was well thought off and could immediatly challenge for honours - I was wrong. Infact, I found Dortmund to have a very average team with a few players such as Gotze & Reus who were better than the others - The team would need some serious changing. You can see the changes I made with some good free transfers along with some quality ones.

The Results

We Finished 2nd in the Bundesliga. This result was gutting due to how close we had come to knocking Bayern off their perch. The team were consisten throughout the year in every tournament and gave it their best effort, think those 2 points will haunt me. This being said, Dortmund had finished 4th last season so this was still a superb effort!!

In the Champions League we did well, really well, reaching the Finals. In the finals we played a strong Real Madrid side who knew how to win. We went 2-0 down early and comming back was always going to be difficult, we pushed and scored but too little too late.

We won the German DFB-Pokal Cup!! We had a tough time getting here comming through penalty shootouts and Bayern Munich. Even the Final was a Classis as RB Leipzig took a good 2-0 lead which required all of our Character and tactical knowledge(overload and fast) to eventually come out 4-2 Winners!!
