Help Transfer - End of Season

Hi.

I have a save where i am the manager of a team in England.
I have played two seasons so far and now i have made a offer for a player in the french league. Both the club and the player has agreed and the transfer is set for "End of Season".
My problem is that i offered and got the offers accepted some time in the mid June, but in the beginning of my new season i have not yet gotten the chance to finalize the deal.
Is it a later "End of Season"-date in the french league or is it that i made the move too late so he will join me after season three instead?

I think the transfer window starts early in France so it’ll be at the end of season three
