Marc Vaughan mentioned something on the official forums. That’s all I remember lol. There’s undoubtedly a bug with coaches not influencing players though

I second that. Seems like my 2 posts on this was ignored but thanks for bringing it up. Now i know i'm not the only one being slightly annoyed by this.

i have been considering this too, since the training we have now actually add stats instead of trading one to another. But i guess since there is a cap of stats based on the potential stars of a player, all-round training may not be good for 4 stars player as doing so may cause them to peak and become a jack of all trade. Can anyone confirm this issue?

I’ve definitely thought about this, but it’s hard to tell if I’m honest

They were ignored because you’ve also posted it on the bug list. This is a guide not somewhere to talk about the bugs

Weird, I am managing R. Madrid on my save. Take note, I alrdy have a Gold/Natural GK Coach for my team, but 1 season in, Courtois has a negative concern which is "Needs improved specialist coaching".

Do I need to replace my current Gold/Natural GK Coach or am I missing something here?

Well I’ve always seen that as needing an extra goalkeeping coach, but I could be wrong. It’s no doubt a bug in my opinion

Is there actually a limit on total attributes a player can have?  I never felt like stats in one attribute limited how much could be gained in another.  But I suppose I've not even considered that as a possibility so haven't truly paid attention.  I guess it would make sense though.....

Oh wow, I had a Poacher who looked like this:

I had set the Focus Attribute to Arial and the Focus Role to Target Man some time back, but he just reached the next Level Up and he went to this:

That's a 12 point increment in Arial (and +3 strength). Note there's only 1 week between those screenshots.

I guess the next step is to set him back to Poacher and Shooting to try to bump up that?

So players over the age of 21/22 showing good improvments is unrealistic but that is?!? :S

I think it's a bug because it's always with Aerial, even when that's not Focused.

Don't know if it's deliberate or a bug but... Aerial Ability... It's broken.

Any player with training focused on Aerial Ability will become Peter Crouch over a very short amount of time, assuming they haven't already hit their peak.

Hoof ball is the way forward 😅

My apologies i must have been agitated by it that i don't realize that i have posted it on the bugs discussion.

Does the update which i got recently fix this issue?

Re the coaches having influence on players - this is being looked into at present, we think largely a display issue but there are a couple of edge cases where we are making additional tweaks.

Right now, the training system just doesnt feel right. Compare to fmm2018, its good that you can tailor made tranining for each player. On the other hand, the training in fmm2018 can act as a redistribution of the stats of a player, even their over age 25. Right now in fmm2019, the training system is very unfriendly to "old" player, once their age 25, even there still potential star for the old player, they just cant get the last half star because they can only earn 1-2% exp bar in a match that they are rated 8 or above, if they are rated 6,no exp will be given. On this rate, not even 2 season can help them to reach full potential, and the training just dont have any effect on player over age 25.

Apart from this, the exp bar of a player is tied to heavily to the performance of a match, which i think is not right. When vs an opponent that is much stronger than your team, most of the players of your team will have bad ratings, and this lead to no improvement, but it just doesnt sound right, in reality, the players should be able to see how a better team perform and learn from it. 

And the rating system, its so unfair to defender, d/lcr can hardly score a 8, i never saw my d/lcr can score a 9, but with 2 goal, any player can score a 9 if not 10, making the forward and attack mid much easier to level up. Again, it doesnt feel right to me. 

After playing fmm2019, i really miss the training progress of fmm2018. Now when i see a player with 4star ca and 4.5 star pa and he is over25, im petty sure he will stay 4 star like forever, and when i look for player to buy, im avoid player over 25 like plague, there are cases where i bought a player and just to have the training section shows me he is peaked at fking age 25 and will soon decline, and his stats are set and done and cant be change.

I agree with the rating system but I think training is perfect think about real life a payer once he gets to 25 is unlikely to improve that much

It would depend on position. Most CBs will mature later ie would be 28-30 before being considered at their peak. Whereas strikers etc would prob peak around 25-27. Similarly GK peak later too.

I've noticed that my attribute focus setting often changes back to the default. For instance the default attribute focus for wb is pace, and even when I change his focus to something else I find it's gone back to pace after a while. Other than that I think it's a good improvement. Attributes used to jump up and down so wildly in previous versions, especially physical ones which is not realistic.
